Thank you for that. Playing Spear of Destiny for the first time in..... Think it was sometime between '96 and '98 that I last played it, might have been earlier then that even ('94 at the earliest). Got through Trans, Barnacle Willy, and the Ubermutant no sweat, though they cost me tons of health. But the Death Knight I just died like five times against last night. The video really helps.

Spear of Destiny and Return to Danger are just oversaturated “expansions” to a great but aged game. The original story somewhat made sense but these mission packs threw everything out the window and is just a mere cash grab. Good video nonetheless!

@@Blackmjc I've found the "Spear of Destiny" mission packs overly complicated and pointless. Too much use of secret passages just to get around; at least in Wolf3D secret passages are mostly just for treasure, ammo, weapons, and one ups. With the "Return to Danger" and "Ultimate Challenge" mission packs it seems like better than half the time you need the secret passages just to get around. Too many narrow passageways; I know there are a lot of narrow passages in "Spear of Destiny" but RtD seems to be better the 80% of each mission pack is nothing but narrow passages. The wall textures really suck; give me a lot more of the gray stone, red or blue brick, or wood panel texturing more common in Wolf3D and SoD than the disoreinting texturing of RtD and UC. I only found one fan made Wolf3D spin-off with worse texturing than RtD and UC. Too often I got into RtD and UC levels where I literally came close to throwing up because of the wall texturing. And what's with fighting the same bosses? Sure there's that little deal with most of the Grosse family just being Hans in different colored aromr (if even that much of a change), but at least iD tried explaining that with some by naming them Mans, Pans, and Fans for the Hans clones in the secret level of Episode 6. But RtD and UC have the same bosses, FornGen DID effectively reuse the bosses from SoD and at least gave them new sprites and new names for the mission packs. But then they didn't change them between mission packs. What, were you running through RtD with stun bullets and in UC your finally really killing folks? Also, WHY THE SPEAR OF DESTINY ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!! I'll buy RtD the Nazis managed to reclaim the spear and BJ has to get it back, but UC it's the same thing all over again?
