Thank you so much. It worked perfectly and all went back together properly despite one little clear plastic part that had no obvious purpose. Soldering the very fine wires worked well and I used electrical tape to protect them from shorting out. Outstanding! Thank you! Saved me $200!😊❤🎉

Thank you so much for this! A few notes: - Before doing this, make sure your headset isn't in-warranty. - The warranty is *two* years, not one as you might guess. Mine was in-warranty, so they replaced the headset for free when the battery wouldn't hold a charge, after only a little hassle. (They made me update the firmware, and asked that I try a different cable.) It was the full retail package, including charging cradle, carrying case, cable, etc. - As a bonus, they didn't ask for the old headset back, so I replaced the battery, using your instructions, and I'll be giving it to a coworker. - The Torx sizes are T4 and T6. The T5 will *not* work. - When buying the battery, take care to order a 3-wire (there's a lot of two-wires in the 582535 size) And look for a JST 1.0mm connector; they are likely to have the thinnest wires. (I ordered mine from eBay for $8.50, shipped from China.) - The soldering (just using a cheap solder pencil), and some mid-size 60/40 I had lying around was pretty easy. Just don't be an idiot like me and forget to slide on the heat-shrink *before* soldering! - The other, non-battery, wires are *very* fragile. Examine them closely when re-assembling. I had to wrap some electrical tape around one of the wires to the speaker, as the insulation had started to strip itself.

Can I add to this list? - Use caution if you're going to use a heat gun. Heating up an lithium ion battery will ruin its longevity. Use a heat shield over the battery if using the method in the video

@petermescher332 3 жыл бұрын
@@vaibhavsharma6025 For the battery, just search on eBay, AliExpress, Amazon, whatever, for "582535 battery", and look for one with 3 wires and a JST 1.0mm connector. I'm not sure what "plastic casing" you are referring to? The heat-shrink solder butt splices he uses in the video? If that is what you are looking for you want to search Amazon (or wherever) for "white solder seal connectors" (The white color is 26-24AWG; the larger sizes, like red and blue, will be too big.)

Thank you for the video! A couple of notes: -All the videos show that when removing the earpiece you just pull it "open" and it pops off. On mine the earpiece is hooked under a loop on the headset side and would not just "pop" free. So I had to pull the earpiece open, but then push down on the connected side until the hook on the earpiece is free from the loop on the headset and then pull the earpiece in slightly to free it. -While removing the battery the clear plastic light path piece for the ANC light came loose and was a pain to try to figure out how to get back in place as there was no clear shot of that piece in the video. Might help people to take pictures of everything as you pull it apart, I certainly should have. -Also, when reassembling mine, the 1st screw mount spun around (down) into the headset so it was not until I had already wrestled the middle mount back into place that I realized that my final screw mount was now spun around and locked out of reach. I had to unscrew and pull the middle mount apart again, spin the screw mount with the screw hole "up" and wrestle the lines and middle mount back into place while holding the 1st screw mount in the correct position. Hope any of that can help someone else!

Second, the tab where the first T4 screw is removed, can pivot and rotate 180, according to gravity, such that the tab is not available upon reassembly, so keep an eye on that tab, and make sure the hole for the T4 is pointed UP when you reassemble the left earpiece. Hi. Thanks for the video! Do you happen to have a picture/photo of the circuit with the cable connecting to the headset earpiece? I need to know where to connect those two black wires from the ear-piece to the circuit again! My brother tried (and managed) to forcefully unattach the clip (we didn't know that it should be easily unclipped) but then accidentally broken the connection, I don't know how to connect it anymore, no reference 😢 please help me 🙏

I found this video while searching for actual battery life and charging time on Jabra Evolve 75. I own a pair of this great headset for nearly a year, ordered it second hand and all works fine, except that it takes much more time to recharge as well as battery life is less than the advertised by Jabra. I take it may not last as a new one since it's just the nature of batteries, however I wonder if I have any fault with charging time on my unit. So my headset takes nearly 8 hours to fully charge (from dead to until green light pops) and a single charge lasts about 11 hours, even though the sound notification says 14hrs when turning on after full charge. Maybe my battery isnt doing great anymore? What's the charing time and battery life after replacing the battery? Many thanks

Replacing the earbuds is a pain! I was putting too much force to unscrew the earbuds. Damaging these phones may cost you USD$300 and breaking the entire thing is not a very good idea. I've even opened the phones to see if there were screws inside preventing the earbuds to rotate. Nope. Ok... I've got it without breaking the entire thing. it's not a matter of force, but a matter of trial an error, without putting too much force and trying to pull the earbuds apart. Needless to say that installing new earbuds and screwing them back in place is another pain. I don't understand why replacing the earbuds has to be so tricky. You have to have special training to do so!

Not as bad as it sounds. You can buy the solder-filled heat-shrink he used from Amazon for a few bucks, and you can shrink it with a cigarette lighter. That means the only "special" tool you need is the very-small torx bits or drivers for disassembly. And a small pair of wirecutters is nice for cutting and stripping the wire. (The wires on the new battery will need a tool, the wires from the original battery can be stripped with your fingernails.) Yes, you can do a cleaner job with solder, soldering iron, heatshrink tubing, and a heat gun, but I don't blame you for not buying those things just for this one job. (That said, it doesn't have to cost *that* much. You can get a complete soldering kit for less than $15, including iron, stand, solder, and a bunch of additional little tools and supplies that sometimes come in handy.)
