I know this sound crazy or stupid but can you test it with babies or kids on the background most especially if kids are crying out loud or shouting. I'm working from home actually and got kids and this is one of my biggest problems. Hoping the Jabra will nail it.

Thanks for the review. Wondering if Sennheiser SC 160 or Plantronics Blackwire C5220 might be a better choice for me. When working from home, I want to hear my kid or my pets doing stuff around the house or the doorbell ringing, but I don't want others to hear it through my microphone. Some of these most popular headsets seem to be too closed which can make them too isolating or uncomfortable and sweaty when wearing all day long. Working as a programmer, I have so many calls a day discussing bugs, test results, pair programming etc.

Hi to you both, i dont need a headset right now as i use XLR mic setup but just based on this test, I think Jabra performed the best with the noise cancelling, the plantronics has the most connections but the noise cancelling isnt as good as Jabra, nor the mic quality of Sennheiser. In order i would put Jabra 75 first, sennheiser second, plantronics last

tried the Plantronics Savi 8220 and it's been a disaster. My voice gets echoey all of the sudden, A2DP bluetooth to phone is a complete joke. skips like i'm holding a 1st gen portable CD player and going for a jog. listening to music from phone then call comes in on the phone. answer it, and now it's not connected anymore so i have to select bluetooth on my phone again. incredibly high maintenance, very poor connection. on top of that random beeps and dead tone sounds mid call where both me and the person i'm speaking with can hear and drowns out the conversation for about 10-20 seconds. Will be returning. this is unusable.

Nice video. Succinct and useful. Can I ask, specifically regarding the Jabra which sounded best to me, can you hear your own voice when you're talking on a call? I don't mean ambient voice I mean through the headset? I can't handle being on a call and not being able to hear myself lol! Thanks for your help. As an aside, I'd be curious to know your assessment of a headset like this vs a "quality" set of earphones such as the Bose 700 which claim to have good and numerous mics to pick up your voice. This is in the context of working from home predominantly for calls and zoom meetings. Again, knowing if I you can hear yourself properly would be really helpful. Please and thank you!

@ Call One, Inc. I think it's pretty funny how Catholic in DC linked a video that is clearly far more edited, especially audio-wise, as compared to your much more natural videos. Thanks for the great and honest comparisons! I work from home and I travel a lot. I've got dogs barking in the background while at home (not great insulation for my walls) and of course while traveling, it can get very annoying when my audience can't hear me that well. Is there a headset out there that combines the best ANC speakers ANDperfect noise-cancelling mic out there? Right now, I use the Plantronics Focus UC, which is AMAZING for the noise-cancelling mic, but when I'm on a plane, I have to switch to my Bose QC35 IIs, as they are so much better with planes and overall travel. With regards to the noise-cancelling mic headset, I was really leaning towards the blue parrot BX450, except I really like the dual-ear of the Plantronics Focus. So...you guys have gone through pretty much every headset I've been looking at - got any solid recommendations based on my requirements? I'd really like to just have one headset to rule them all, but that might be too much to ask for... :(

I am considering the Senheisser 5066 (Thats how its sold in Amazon UAE). A lot of reviews point to the fact that the metal headband is not suitable for people with big heads. Are you able to comment on this ? Would really like to know your inputs before I go ahead and purchase one..

In recent mic test videos, I use a TV playing the news to simulate people talking. I have been trying to get my wife to join me in doing what Mariah was doing, but she's shy and doesn't like to be on camera. Great question! Let’s first understand your use case. What type of role do you have? What device will you be connecting the headset to? For example, a desk phone (brand/model), computer (Windows/Mac/Chromebook, USB A or USB C), other? @@CallOneInc On point on the budget part. We are in the Philippines. How I wish we can have all the agents work at home but difficult on the kind arrangement that we have. We had purchased and tried a lot of headsets but none seem to work for a room of at least 50 people let alone a hundred on the same day. Currently we have expanded our budget and is definitely looking for a better solution. Thanks for your help.

@@carlb641 Definitely agree with the Jabra Engage 50, but take a look at the Jabra Biz 2300 USB headsets as well. Avoid voice tube type headsets, and make sure that agents are trained to check the position of the mic boom is positioned level with the mouth. If you haven't already, also consider how the rooms are set up to absorb, not reflect sound...

@@alexwilliams451 Thanks for your input. We've already tried the 2300 but doesn't seem to work. Right now we are using the engage 65 since the 75 is not allowed in our country for some reason. Works well but can still pickup if voices get really loud. I've just put in plugins to lessen bg noise but it gets cumbersome maintenance wise.

@@DanielMessias1997 if you have a dedicated quiet room for recording voice overs, there are mics designed for that. I don’t test them but I know they exist because EPOS use to be a part of Sennheiser and they make mics for voice.
