Not trustworthy at all. This year's best actress was for Nithya Menon for Thiruchithramabalam. Really? Like there are no other good movies or characters. I'm not saying Nithya is a bad actor. She is an amazing actress but she got recognized for this mediocre movie, when there were so many other movies of her with great performances. Also Allu Arjun for Pushpa is crazyyyy. Y are these commercial cringe movies getting recognised is beyond me.

Just because Pushpa was commercial movie that doesn't mean his performance was bad or easy to execute. It was a difficult role and he played that role really well. Same thing with Nithya's performance. For movie, they give different awards. With that logic, you think that we should give awards to mediocre performance just because movie was good? Acting award is given for acting, not on the basis of how good or bad that film was or if movies was commercial or indie.

32:19 Fun fact sister of my best friend was the associate director on this movie and she said when they finished these last sequence shooting the whole crew were scared, and the camera man after finishing the shot was soo scared he was shivering for almost an hour. Also while preparing for the final sequence performance the actor rishab shetty quit meat and strictly followed all the rules of people who perform the Kola. In interview the actor said the last fight sequence it's not him but the demigod himself performed through the actor. And yes it not myth/legend even now ppl belive in those demigods and yearly perform the ritual in many places in costal Karnataka

I am one of your daily viewers but i usually don’t comment. This was honestly the most satisfying reaction to watch because usually when foreigners watch this particular movie they usually find it weird, or don’t get the emotions and old traditions behind it. I think people who aren’t into indian movies or aren’t indian/native would not get the emotions behind this movie, especially the scenes like when demigod takes over shiva’s body to defend the villagers. The actor did such a great job portraying the raw power, inhumane strength..its almost as if you feel scared, overwhelmed but still feel the demigod’s warmth and love for you, he makes everyone feel protected like a parent would protect you. This movie is usually not for non-Indian audience’s taste but you guys did such a great job understanding every notion, the emotions and rural traditions. I like how you interpreted the message behind it right, like at the end shiva disappeared but nobody had an answer, so the man just keeps quiet to leave the audience with questions. I also like that you guys included the best clips from the movie, usually people crop out some of the important dialogues because they don’t understand the depth of it, captions always don’t do justice so you have to get the point on your own. Loved this reaction! This was a great pick.

Watching this movie in the theatres was just another experience...last 15 minutes of the movie was so damn thrilling and Rishbh Shetty's performance as Shivas was so mesmerising and even i felt a tinge ofdivination from his performance as the demigod...it was divine...thats all i can say and this movie felt a lot personal to me because i too am a tribal person from Jharkhand the the tribal rituals and religion and the conflict between tribal people and governement regarding forests is the struggle i know all to well

you don't know about it bro. but in my village, we have humans who transforms into devi ma for few minutes to give ashirwad. in my family we have those individuals. no one knows about it because no one dare to record that. there are many folk stories about all these things in my village in mp. we have gonds tribe in my village. We have one more scene where in rajasthan, during India Pakistan fight, we got a temple where all bombs got deactivated and devi ma saved the region.

You remember that scene where the cop returned the rifle to the villagers in the final fight? He did that because he was scared of the gun backfiring like it did when he was arresting Shiva. Thats because the guns were locally made by the village Smith and were bound to be faulty. It was a nice funny scene showing that the cop has leaned his lesson from the previous time 😂

Read this carefully, as I am going to explain you something which is not common in US or i believe in any part of europe and northern america. We have demigods among us, who protect their land or specific area, and if anybody tries to invade or make any obstacles in their area, they gets punished. The person who makes plan to invade the area of the gods temple, whether it is any senior government official or minister, they gets punished. First gods warn them in their night dreams or show them sight which they see with open eye as a warning from god. If they do not follow him, then the god gets angry and it results in similar fate which you saw in kantara. We still have temples of those gods and we pray to them for our well-being. I have seen way too many gods temple in India very similar in nature, so it's safe to say that we are very familiar to this concept and got excited after watching this on cinema. Have fun 👍
