Something that is not mentioned is that the JAC T9 Super Lux 's power and torque can be increased by installation of a software at the cost of R10000.00. I tested an upgraded version: it is just awesome.

If you did your homework instead of listening to the dealer blurb , you would know that this car is far less chinese than you think , first thing you the journalist need to know is who JAC's affiliate partners to know how and why it exists , it is the product of 2 very successful brands , one wholely european and the other , part european and part american , which is why there are more than styling cues from both manufacturers , the body and chassis are current gen units from both manufacturers , engine is also current spec option in both competitors , the gearbox is out of one of them's previous gen bakkie , styling is JAC and all the better for it , not having the corperate brand styling issues the other two have . If you , the jouranalist knew what this was , you would proberably abandon the press blurb and say something genuinely real about a vehicle that in two other itterations are serious heavyweight international contenders . I am delibiberately not telling you what it really is but one day , you might find out , then you will find out why it is so well designed and built from the start

VW owns 75% of JAC. Compare the interior styling and you see Amaroc & Ranger. Enjine is VW & gearbox is 8speed ZF box. Also look at how the front indicators flash....similar to VW's.
