This episode gives me the same warm feeling the Tig and Ira episodes gave me. It’s so fun seeing two real friends be together

I'll be re-running parts of this conversation as I'm going abt my life. I enjoyed hearing you exchange/describe how your processes happen, or not. I loved, "I was here before Ira Glass"😂

the story about Rick is my favorite. so fucking wholesome. honoring his father's sacrifice by including him and that being such a natural thing for him😭

This guy's naturally funny, which is preeetty rare for a music producer. Let alone Taylor Swift's producer.

I think you guys can make fun or make each other feel small because you know you love each other. You actually know the other person doesn't think you're small.

What a judgmental and negative comment section! Great to see an interesting conversation between old friends. Jack is a gem of a human. Sometimes it feels like we want our artists to produce singular art but not to be singular individuals.. which is nonsensical to anyone who has ever actually created anything novel unrelated but I just realized I need to see Jack do a Rick Glassman episode

Jack please settle a bet: I'm wholeheartedly convinced T. Swift's So Long London's bleeps and bloops are an influence of your time working with Vince Clarke. Did I win?

I never paid attention to the show notes to piece together that Jack wrote the music. It's always had a strange effect on me. Almost like a sadness, but it's good. Or because it comes on signaling a break in the show and I just want all these conversations to continue.

Great episode! Would love to come on the pod if you are open to having a lowly novice comedian. It’d be fun talking about what it’s like toiling through the ranks as a newbie comedian now versus what it was like for you. I’m a technology researcher so it’d be super interesting to get your perspective about how you see or are experiencing tech (specifically LLM’s & AI based video synthesis tools) is changing the landscape of entertainment in general and what the near future of entertainment & comedy might look like

I love the pod, and, it may be that Jack Antonoff is "great" (I mean, 11 grammys!), but Mike, you describe every single guest as "the great", which sorta devalues the term.
@BellyLaugherАй бұрын
but then who says everybody can't be great, eh? it's earnest appreciation...lots of food is great, why not comedians...
@jodyesperanza657Ай бұрын
@@BellyLaugher Not all food is great. Not all comedians are great. Not all fill in the blank are great. I appreciate the appreciation, but great is a term tof distinction, that is, to make it distinct from others.

You know how they were talking about the VMAs during this episode? Jack and Taylor were hanging out during the Katy Perry performance at the VMAs. He seems pretty clear in the interview that he never wanted to be around the person who made him feel small again. Sooo maybe we don’t automatically speculate on who it is because you have a built in bias against them.

what?

I disagree! It may have been Lana. Weren't they all at the Grammys together? Didn't Lana famously not win, like Mike said?
