The Late Great Jack Bruce! Who wrote and sang most of Creams hit songs and somehow didn’t get the proper credit or fame. That all went to Clapton and Baker. Life can be so unfair at times. Too bad they didn’t do a whole Tour! Frampton is more than good enough to fill Claptons shoes. He can sing and play well! What a talent! They are both virtuosos on their instruments and both can sing and write songs! What a lineup! RIP Bruce
@coryroberts75192 жыл бұрын
I know man.... I was talking to my mom who was born around the time Cream formed about the band... Even she thinks its all Clapton, having no idea that Jack wrote and sung most of Creams greatest songs!. He truly was a force man. I ended up playing bass and singing initially because of this band! I have always loved how Jack sang, such drama, such bravado... IDK, there aren't many that sing quite like he did! And of course his simply amazing bass lines.. I could go on, I'm sure you know what I mean ;)

Tim Allbritton Hell Yeah! Frampton is awesome, I hope he continues to record before it becomes too hard. Frampton live I've seen many times headlining and as lead guitarist with David Bowie. I can't play guitar. I play sax, and love transposing guitar solos for sax. Melodic lead players like him, Mark Knopfler, Jeffrey Beck, Neal Schon and of course Eric Clapton are the best for this. Tasteful without been too flashy and over the top.

I know Clapton didn't like Sunshine of Your Love much. And now it seems that his effort and interest it it was minimal. People also tend to forget just how brilliant and versatile Peter Frampton is as a guitarist, one must just recall his Frampton Comes Alive and Humble Pie Performance LP's to get a taste of the style and sound he is so capable of. So here we have Frampton paired up with unquestionably one of the best bass players to ever plug into an amp, Jack Bruce. And what we get is a high energy technically flawless version of that song, proving just how brilliantly each can play. I am a monstrous Clapton fan, but I dare say that if Cream were going to play a gig and for whatever reason Eric couldn't be there, Peter would be able to capably fill in. And NOT disappoint the audience. THIS, was an excellent performance. I would have loved to have seen them. Does anyone know the particulars ? When, where and did they both do a whole show together? What an incredible pairing, who knew !!!
