That’s a great lesson so many golfer’s have this problem and Rick explains it better than most!

As a player returning to the game after a many year layoff, this is just the video I needed. His initial swing is almost identical to mine when I video myself. Light bulb moment. Thanks!

You made a believer out of me. Went to the range this morning, it took some time, particularly the forward Y, but I finally made consistent solid contact. I had forgotten what that feels like. The reverse swing really did it for me. Thanks for the great tips/drills. I hope it translates to the course.

This was an awesome video. Great fix to bad swings. I felt body and mind connecting. Keep them co.ing.

I feel like he is giving me a lesson here. I think my problems are exactly the same as this golfer and I'm going to try the same drills to cure. Would have liked to see how the next step of full swing is done but this is a tremendous help.

How do you feel about forward shaft lean at address. .? With the lead arm and shaft forming a straight line.

I noticed the knees and not driving the body towards the target. I’m inconsistent too so am working on sorting that out so I can improve my handicap in 2026 The after was outstanding. Looked so much more as a whole working unit rather than each part doing its own thing. I will definitely be trying these straight forward drills over the range

Rick Smith is as as good as they get.

Really appreciate all of the Rick Smith lessons. MY struggle is with an occasional duck hook with driver. Could he do a lesson on fixing a duck hook permanently?

You just watched it mate. If you do what he said in this video you won’t be hooking or slicing.

The #1 problem with almost every club golfer suffering from ball striking and hitting it all over the Face is (1) trying to kill the ball with 120% of their power & (2) over using their arms/hands instead of their body (engine). The big muscle (torso) is the most consistent and predictable component of the entire swing and it move the slowest in the swing which means returning the club head to the ball at impact.

Was hitting pop ups high on face thought I was coming over top but instructor showed thru video and track man I was dragging the handle to long and out he he really couldn’t tell me a good fix other than to release it sooner .. would like to see a video on this. Thx

Forward press the hands st address as if you had an iron in your hands and swing from there, cured my pop ups

Anyone else come on here expecting to see a video with Jack Grout?

Funny tho it looks like JN actually does break wrist in first move back, which is probably old school?

Agree, also think he looks like a decent player deliberately trying to hit it poorly.
