I saw this tour in 98 at the Northrup theater in Minneapolis Minnesota. I think I was 19 or 20. One of the best shows to date and my first exposure to Jack Pearson.

Dickey Betts couldn’t tote jack Pearson’s guitar strap in his wildest of dreams.. Jack is the undisputed best guitar player of all the Allman Brothers pickers.. yep.. that’s Duane, Derek, and Warren included.. none of ‘em can touch this dude . Sooooo underrated; it’s criminal

"Either we are gonna’ hire him or I'm gonna’ ask him for lessons" ~ Dickey Betts when the band was deciding whether or not to bring Jack Pearson in.

4 the most crucial thing to note about Jack Pearson is he doesn't strain or like get like over like amped up or getting jerky he's very much almost like yogic how he creates that flow you got to ease into it to really pick it out kind of thing

Jack has the magic hand slide technique. He knows how 2 milk the shit out of a riff. In double. Or half time. With a touch of molasses. And build the energy. High as. Heck.

4 I don't think the irony is lost on anyone that Jack Pearson kind of dressed like Super Mario or maybe Luigi a bit apropos

He had an emergency appendectomy a few weeks before this and the scar was right on the belt line so he wore overalls to avoid having a belt irritating the scar.
