Both of their harsh vocalists are pretty legit, seen them a bunch of times in Japan at small basement live shows. their band are their production team, they aren't always there for the live show, just really large shows and special events. like the other commenter said they are an idol group, think of it like the girlgroups we have in the west only a lot less tied to purely pop, especially these kind of "underground" groups who experiment with punk, rock, metal you name a genre and they'll be an idol group doing it mixed up with some jpop stylings and plenty of attitude and stage presence from the performers, its very live orientated and is more about the performance and connection with the crowd then performing the track pitch perfectly etc.

I'm very glad you enjoyed the video! I also enjoy finding small bands, because more often then not they are missed or washed over by bigger named bands. Bands that play small venues are awesome and I think they give a better experience vs arena bands. Well depending on the band. A big band like slayer actually preferred smaller venues. It's how they started and the experience is overall better.

LOL! First of all, they are an Idol Group, more specifically, in this case, Underground Idol Group. Some will say Alt-Idol. They are not a band. And there is no demerit in that. Idol Group means that the group is the members who are at the front, they sing, dance, choreograph, entertain the audience. The songs are written for all members to have their share, there is no lead singer. They are supposed to bring joy to the audience, always excited and willing. They don't write songs or play instruments. In some Idols Groups, when members reach a certain age, they are "graduated", and another member is admitted. The band, the people who play the songs, are not considered part of the group. It is normal for Idols Groups to present themselves with a background track. In this case, the accompanying band is called Zombie Band and is live, but I don't know if it is always. Part of J-pop is composed of Idols Groups, male and female, groups such as AKB48, Morning Musume (female) and Arashi, Da Pump, Exile (male). These are on Mainstream and their music is usually commercial pop or hip-hop. In opposition to these came the Underground Idol Group, idols Groups that do not make commercial music. In the West some people call it Alt-Idol. There is a whole Underground scene, with groups that make the most diverse genres of music, Punk-pop, Black Metal, Rockabilly, etc. Interestingly, all Underground Idol Groups are female. You are thinking that they are assembled groups. Yes, usually some producer has an idea, a concept, from there they audition to choose members, hire a band, etc. But it does not mean that they have no value. The girls focus on singing, dancing and entertaining, they work hard. If you want to see an interesting group, try Necronomidol.
