I'm so torn on the two sounds. I liked "fear of the dawn" because it seemed to take everything he learned from boarding house reach and blended it with his old stuff. I'd love to see more of that, but this is the perfect time for a "back to basics" record. It will make it even better if he does another album like that.

Man, that whole thing was such a colossal overreaction. The dude made a joke that didn't land right. Sometimes something sounds funny in your head and then sounds fucked up when it comes out of your mouth. Not to mention, lets not pretend here like TONS of other ppl didn't make the same joke; people joke about people (politicians in particular) dying all the fuckin time. Like, sure, it wasn't great, but even Trump himself has said WAY worse shit dozens of times over .

No Name is great, I just hope Jack White doesn't feel discouraged from being his fully weird self on future albums. I enjoy it when I can hear him clearly having fun playing around with eclectic ideas, so Boarding House Reach was my favorite album of his, and I enjoyed Fear of the Dawn and parts of Entering Heaven Alive for the same reason. No Name deserves the praise, we got 13 tracks of classic bangers, now let's step back and let Jack White get super weird on the next album.

best non-review ever... BUT Archbishop Harold Holmes is an amazing track, might be the best on the record. Next Let's Argue should be whether Jack White is a legit rapper and where he stacks among other rappers. Standout tracks include: Archbishop Harold Holmes Ice Station Zebra Hi-De-Ho (feat. Q-tip) .. okay Jack didn't rap in this one but he produced it and it's a legit rap track on that album, it deserves attention Black Bat Licorice Icky Thump These are fire tracks, you can't convince me otherwise

Absolutely loving Jack’s new record; takes me back to the Elephant album days for sure. Tonight (Was a Long Time), Old Scratch Blues & Terminal Archenemy Endling are the standouts for me

This might be my favorite non review ever mad. You made me feel like a fan when I first heard him and didn't have the woyto back him. Such an artist that taps on raw emotion. Nostalgic was one of the many themes that were prevalent and what music will always need. Jack can always deliver that

Also, remember when Greenday dropped that album with the marketing of, “Pure rock! No trap beats!” and the album sounded like dads with dad bods with Coors Light at the little league game? What Greenday wanted to do there is what this album actually is.

I think he’s been showing a re interest in this raucous, simple “white stripes” rock for awhile now. I’m thinking particularly of that snl performance he did two years ago. He just hasn’t had it as a priority to give it studio time yet.
