Now this is nostalgic! My brother and I beat this when we first got our NES, all we had was the Super Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt combo cartridge and Jackal. Man, good times.

Blasting POWs from their cabins and rushing them to the safe drop-off zone always gave me Choplifter vibes. This was one awesome Chisstmas present from Grandpa I'll never forget. The soundtrack has ever been ingrained in memory since then.

Dude I love your videos and I don't know how you can put them out so quickly. This is one I can watch for fun instead of education though. I pulled it off the shelf and finished it about a year ago. Took me a few tries though! Died on the final boss like 3 times.

I first saw this game in an arcade in West Germany, and it was called Jackal. (These name changes were common: Bad Dudes was DragonNinja, Rush N Attack was Green Beret, etc.). This was my first NES game in 1989, retail price 39.99.

This game brings me back, such a good game, I remember the machine gun only shoots up and you had to continually move the D pad to aim your gernades. NES advantage on turbo was a must.

Awesome guide. Really appreciate the time and research you put into these. I used both of your final boss strats for both my first solo completion and 1 CC runs. I will definately mention this video in my tutorial. The careful method for the final row of turrets was great too, if you lose the missle spread. Prior to this I had only completed the game in 2 player. This was one of my favorites.

Second power up P.O.W. on blows up in side to side direction. Once you get thrid power up P.O.W. then the missile blows up in four directions. Love great show. Peace

I really enjoyed playing this game with friends. I got my copy with a box of NES games that I got at a convention and didn't know what it was at the time. Now, with your help, next time I hook up my top loader I'll be able to beat it, at least as long as player 2 doesn't burn through all of my lives.

Me and my lil brother played and beat this one together. I was 10 and he was 8 at the time. We used to make our vehicle "shake" when POWs would get on the jeep for added realism, LOL. SIlly I know but we did silly stuff like that as kids.

This is one of the trial and error games where I usually made those mistakes because I advanced forward too quickly. It took me 8 tries to get this right to beat this game.

Jackal was always a highlight when renting games on the weekend with my dad. Co-op was one of my favorite things about it since we could play at the same time and my dad helped me beat the bosses. Renegade Ops is a great game if you get the itch for this type of game on modern systems.
