Definitely shouldn't be a competition. In my eyes, they don't really do the same thing. KM is documenting the history, direct from the sources. And verifying or clarifying long held myths or facts. SG is more about current events, and youngsters getting their rap careers started and whatnot. Which is cool too... Every now and then, SG will get an OG, but KM is actually creating a cohesive narrative.

Ova Stone the 80’s and 90’s were super hard times to be a Damu. You would be checked immediately for wearing the flame. It took big balls.

Yep u on point, I grew up down the street from the Alondra apartments. I played in there and used to go up to Campanella in the mid 70s at noon to get my free lunch and go swimming. A few years back I had a conversation with one of the guys that ran W.P.B. His name was Steelbill. The same name as mine.
