If there's one thing that everyone knows about Jackie Chan, it's that he does all of his own stunts. That's not technically true, however, as he does use stunt doubles... for walking scenes.

@@melkor251 He used to be similar to Bruce Lee but that's why he's more slapstick style fighting instead of the more serious fighting Bruce Lee used to do. You can't watch a movie like The Drunken Master and say its similar to any of Bruce Lee's movies, even if they both involve fighting. The foreigner has been the only serious toned Jackie Chan movie I've seen but it felt more like a Liam Neeson movie than anything Bruce Lee.

For me, something that always reminds me of the show is that, since I didn't have cable growing up, my default association with Clancy Brown wasn't Mr. Krabs. It wasn't Lex Luthor. It wasn't Long Feng. It was the knock-off-Nick-Fury character of Agent Black from JCA. I've since watched most of those shows, so he's by now at least more Luthor to me than Black, but still for a while if I'd hear his voice it would be, oh yeah, he was on Jackie Chan Adventures, wasn't he?

You hear about some of the stunts they've tried over the years and people tell him there is no way to do this without some minor injuries at least. And Chan just says do what you can and I'll do it anyway. His whole crew takes the same approach.

"Never" is probably about 90% of the story - Norwegian Lemmings may come across small falls into a fjord as part of a migration, but the majority survive the journey and they can swim. They are generally a completely batshit species though that will face up to almost anything like a 5ft drunk Glaswegian shouting "COME ON THEN YA WEE SHITEBAGGING BASTAD ARSEHOLE I'LL KNOCK YEEZ OOT AND TEABAG YA GRAN!" at both of the Klitschko brothers. What Disney did with the wrong species in the wrong country is something I'm glad we're long past. Give me David Attenborough any day.

Chan also starred in the original *"The Drunken Master"* (1978)... The second one he starred in was very loosely related, so much so they didn't call it a sequel, *"The Legend of the Drunken Master"* (1994), however, in China, they called it *"Drunken Master II"*. There was also a *"Drunken Master III"* but that was produced after Jackie Chan had a falling out with the director original director Lau Kar-leung, so he pulled a Bender and made his own, with blackjack and hookers. Jackie Chan was not in that movie.

My favourite Jackie Chan moment was an interview where he discussed the money he decided to learn English. It was his first trip to the US to discuss making a movie there, and he had a translator along. His translator had something he had to take care of one day, so Jackie taught himself to order breakfast. "Bacon. Eggs. Milk. Toast." In the morning, he goes down to the hotel restaurant and orders his breakfast. The server responds with, "How would you like your eggs?" *•confused Jackie•* "Uh... No eggs! No eggs! Bacon. Milk. Toast." And he decided that learning English might be a good idea. 😂😂😂

Buster Keaton is the best. In many of his films, Jackie Chan repeats Keaton's stunts. The one I like best is where the front of a building falls down while Keaton just stands still. The window in the wall is positioned so that the wall falls around him. When Jackie repeated this scene, he didn't feel safe enough standing there and ran around as the wall fell so that he was in the window when the wall hit the ground.

"I'm Jackie Chan's Acting Double" does sound more believable than "I'm Jackie Chan's Stunt Double"

I love that the new green screen doesn’t cover enough of the shot to fit the fake green screen overlay. It fits the tone of the channel amazingly xD

I think that Hak Foo was Jim Cummings. Which I will always give praise to Jim Cummings, the voice of my childhood. He mimicked Jeremy Irons and Christopher Lloyd when he did the singing parts for Scar and Rasputin respectively and younger me couldn't tell the difference. Man, I need to go back and watch Jackie Chan Adventures again. I miss Uncle and Tohru.

That's pretty common in tv shows with a limited budget. If a main character travels to another continent, rather than flying the actor and crew there, they just get a local actor and film crew to film outside shots, and film all the interior scenes in a studio.

My favorite movie with best fight I ever can remember is Wheels of Meals where Jackie fight Benny Urkides. Just five minutes of fight with a bits of humor.

Clearly his best role is in City Hunter, when he gets thrown into a Street Fighter arcade machine and starts transforming into different characters, cosplay ing as Chun Li, etc.

He's such a nice dude he gives the stunt performers an easy day of work because he's honestly one of them.

Eureka and 88 Films have a growing catalogue of Jackie Chan titles, reaching back to his early days in the 70's. They've yet to release many of his 90's output but I reckon they'll get there pretty soon. I've just recently bought the new release of The Lucky Stars trilogy.

He's used doubles tons of times - Mars doubled him for the split jump in Project A and for many of the acrobatics at the start of Armour Of God (before the infamous injury), Chin Kar Lok doubled him quite obviously in Dragons Forever during the finale (he was patently doubled during the ship fight scene too), Ngai Sing aka Collin Chou doubled him extensively on Thunderbolt. Yuen Biao doubled him a fair amount in The Young Master, Blackie Ko doubled for him during the motorbike scene in Police Story. He's still an action legend, I'd urge people to look closely at Jet Li though...his reputation as an action legend is...unbelievable. He was doubled extensively throughout his career, not just during his latter years. In fact the extent to which he was doubled is laughable tbh.

He had to in Thunderbolt though since he broke his ankle in rumble in the bronx he was still healing. Also he usually did the stunts but the doubles looked better on film so they used there shot. Like in dragons forever the reason he was doubled at the end was because the kick wasnt looking as great as sammo wanted it to be.

If a white guy does the stereotype Jackie Chan, I'll just call him Chris Tucker and follow up ' whats up n?' and how he reacts to that.
