@Jessica Lyngkhoi; I think they had a lot more time back then than women have today. They behave as if they have all the time in the world and absolutely no reason to rush or hurry at all...I could be wrong ofcourse, I haven´t lived in the 50s and 60s, but from the way they behave you get that impression.

she is so much more beautiful than John, and he was a handsome man, but this woman has a stunning way of presenting herself. The prep schools she attended, her manners, she took her time and moved with purpose and grace, there are no sudden moves or a feeling of hurried or interruption. She seemed to be ever-present in each and every situation she was in. I could watch videos of her all day. She is so inspiring and made it appear that she lived a simple life, but that was not the case. But she lived her life well, I believe.

Lebouvier, Jackie Lebouvier could her real name was " Jacqueline Lebouvier" ? so is She a French American from French Nobles family? Well educated, well mannered and well dressed with timeless taste , style and elegance, mind about the art of living and design, and mannerism, even more loving books! Looks like a very French Italian culture. Also in the end She found love, and she went to live a simple life despite massive wealth it did not define her, she seemed brilliant, a brave and elegant woman! She had a job too not just a First Lady, I'd say she was an Interior Designer & an Editor

Jackie Kennedy was a bit like the modern american Marie-Antoinette in the 20th century. Not a very pretty face but a whealthy family, a lot of money, a successfull mariage with a man who would later become "the king" and ohhhh i am the queen! and finally a bitter end for her husband and depression and sadness for her like where is my money??? so the two have a lot in common.

In some cultures the "drenching of the wedding dresses would have been interpreted as a bad omen " It turns out it was!! I think we should try not to judge her. Preferably face up to the fact that after her husband and brother- in -law were assassinated she feared for her own two children and thought it was a good decision to take. She would be on a private island in Greece with all the security needed.

Kithsiri RUBESINGHE I read a biography about her, and there she was said to have been very much in fear, after her husband and her brother in law had been shot, and is said to have wanted to flee the country and get out of there, before her children would be shot next! She said; ..."They are killing Kennedies, and my children are the next target!"...She did have a point, not many women lose their family members in peaceful times in such a manner!..And since they were famous, they couldn´t really hide away, Photographers were always trying to get pictures. It frightened her very much! But, you are right, the drenching of the dresses made me think exactly the same; BAD OMEN! Onassis was the perfect choice for her. She had known him before already, he was "outside the country", was rich, had security personell, bodyguards for her protection, AND he was very kind to her children as well.

Just having Michelle Obamas photo for an instant makes you realize how much real class and special was. Polar opposites.. besides, Jackie was Catholic and pro life so she would have been "cancelled". I remember my teachers crying when we came off the play ground "that day" they were sobbing and the school closed and our parents left work to pick us up. And sitting watching John Jr .salute his father's casket was the moment we were united.

Her name is Jackie Onassis not Kennedy. She change her name after her second marriage. Poor americans don't be jealous. Greeks do it better...

Do you think everything goes flawlessly when they prepare a huge event? Don't be so superstitious
@Supportfreespeech

Maria Jelabina There is a big difference between catering being late or mixing up a menu item, or placing people at the wrong table those are the kinds of things one would expect to go wrong at a wedding. A wedding dress is the main event, in some ways the bride is the most important person at the wedding mainly because society has created this. It’s not superstition when the focal point of an event is destroyed, not just an event-it’s a GRAND event. It’s a clear message.
