Weather is getting so cold that they've reached a climax of nestorations. Jackie often pancakes, every time to see it makes me eat pancake. 😋 Can see unique eagle's mouth. 😁Cute Fiona visits the nest to check and clean, 🐿 of course, greeting Jeffrey, the pinecone. ❤❤

@virginiamoss7045 There is a moment of courtship and a little fight over the stick placing but it is a part of the eagles' bonding ritual. Beaky kisses are a common term used for this kind of behavior. The eagles do this and it is similar to human kisses, thus it is called like that.

@@BirdlifeOdyssey Thanks, but that's my point; why view animals strictly from our own human experience instead of theirs. Why not call it what it is, maybe "beaking" (to make a verb out of a noun)? That would attribute no judgement about why they are doing it and respects the eagles for what they are, not what we would wish they were.

@virginiamoss7045 Yes, we can use the word 'beaking'. However, 'beaky kisses' are also commonly used and many eagle fans like this expression. I think eagles do not mind. It is not a scientific channel. We can all learn about eagles by observing them and the vocabulary choice does not matter so much.
