Maybe Jackie put the pine one in the nest because of the sent of Coneilia it produces a pine sent that keeps bugs and flies away and it keeps it free of some parasites and diseases although I’ve seen most that just put a pine branch or pine straw not an actual pinecone great job Jackie already in protection mode

@peekaboo7424 Jackie's parents were called Ricky and Lucy by the Forest Service and their chick (Jackie) was named by them, too. Jackie was first thought to be a male so she was named Jack, after a long-time volunteer for the Forest Service bald eagle counts. When Jack grew bigger than parents, it was clear that it had to be a female, so Jack’s name was changed to Jackie. Other chicks of Ricky and Lucy were named by Big Bear 3rd graders. Jackie's first mate was called Mr B. by the Forest Service. Shadow was initially believed to be Ricky and Lucy’s fledgling bearing the same name. Even when it was later determined that he was not their fledgling because he was a year older than their fledgling called Shadow, the name remained. Shadow's name was also given by the Forest Service. The names of Jackie and Shadow's chicks, Simba, Cookie and later Spirit were chosen by 3rd graders.

@cantonhag There was an official contest on the FOBBV's channel and the pinecone was named Coneilia by fans. I am just informing about it. The pinecone has been in the nest for a long time and fans wanted to name it, so it received a name.
