The KZbin hive mind sounds like something Meatcanyon would have made into a video. Like it starts with Matpat turning off his camera after his final theory and then turns walks out of the theory room, cuts to him driving, then him stopping in front of KZbin. He walks into a room labeled "KZbin algorithm" and it's just a wad of skin hair and some familiar faces suspended in the air with wires and cables plugged into it, and Matpat walks into it and slowly gets assimilated with that Meatcanyon sound design and almost too graphic to watch animation, as Matpat's face melts in the human ball just glows green and the video ends. I wish I was as gifted to make that nightmare a reality

I find it really interesting that Jack sees MLG and YTPs as his generation's humour because as a gen z born in 2001, YTPs and MLG edits were everything to me when I was a kid. YTPs especially were such a core part of internet culture in the aughts, I can't help but feel that that is /my/ generation's humour. Internet humour massively changed after 2016, and the MLG edits were just at the precipice of that change in the early to mid 2010s. Yes gen z was young but that's what we grew up on, youtube poops and the Ryan Higas, or Smoshes of youtube. But I guess the idea is of course that it's not about the consumer, its the producer- youtube poops weren't being edited by 7-13yos, it was the younger millennial generation that was creating the content, so I guess in that sense I can see why John considers MLG to be millennial humour
