Awesome, I like how you actually fixed it instead of just buying a new one.

That fuzzy looking stuff is "Felt", it's used to hold lub oil for bearing which is very common on fan/blower motors. Just adding enough oil to the felt in the last step will keep it lubricated for years to come.

Fixed mine instead of replacing. Thank you.

Thanks for the vid! I found it easier to hold the housing, and use my thumbs to push down on the white fins. Happily it wasn't sticky, and just enough force to separate the parts enough to where I could grab a section in each and hand and pry apart.

Great video! Thank you! How many miles on your CRV? I wonder if it would be good to clean the fan blades. I’m sure it’s a challenge since you don’t want to get the motor wet. Your subscriber and a fellow 2nd gen CR-V owner of 14 years.

Thank you so much. This worked out perfectly. Yes, that plastic case is a son of gun to remove. What product do you recommend to clean the inside of the blower motor? Also, can the brushes be changed?
@JackofAllMasterofNone2 жыл бұрын
Electronics cleaner spray works well. Or a mass airflow meter type spray.

I have a 2006 nissan murano my ac & heater work but when I turn it on it makes that bubbling noise or sound like something caught in my blower motor. I am not sure that it is but I think it is. Do you know if that could be it or something else more likely. I hear the noise right behind my glove box is & it’s a white circle thing which I think is my blower motor. When I turn my ac or heater on it works fine but the noise is very annoying & I don’t want to mess up my car up more by using the ac or heater. My car was sitting for sometime so it’s possible something stuck in the blower fan motor or debris. When I checked the cabin air filter it wasn’t too bad a few leaves. Do you think it could be anything else by what I’m describing or do you think it’s the blower motor too?
@JackofAllMasterofNone Жыл бұрын
Try taking out the cabin filter and with the fan and car off, reach in and see if any debris is in the "squirrel cage" fan. Make sure the power is off though so you don't get your hand in the motor. Sometimes stuff can get in the blower and make noise. Or try vacuuming it out.

mine was making a noise and it kinda got aggravating so i pulled it out but was unable to get out of the housing. i could have if i waited until morning but it was cold and i got aggravated so i was going to put a little motor oil on it because its all i have and throw it back together its better i think but is still making noise so im gonna run it until im able to get a new motor. im hoping the motor oil is not going to cause any issues.

hey just now reading this and i'm having the same problem. got plenty of motor oil and that's about it right now. did that give you any issues? please let me know! thanks :)
@randomsurvival50042 жыл бұрын
@@wes_xf it helped with the noise just a little but it wasn’t the best so the next day I took it back out and managed to get it completely apart dumped oil in and spun it and blew it out with the air compressor. I put it all back together and the sound is some quieter but still has a errr kind noise but not as loud. If that’s all you have I would say try it but don’t go to heavy on the oil and blow it out afterwards. But if possible I would try mass airflow sensor cleaner or some kind of cleaner for electric motors. It did have a smell coming from the vents because of the oil but it’s gone now. Hope that helped a little

@@randomsurvival5004 Thanks for the quick reply. I might go ahead and get a legit lubricant and do what you did with compressed air. Appreciate it.

I brought my 2002 CRV into the dealer for the airbag fix and it came back with a noisy blower ...but my noise is not high pitch ...it is more like a baseball card in a bicycle's spokes (altho not as loud) ...
@JackofAllMasterofNone4 жыл бұрын
Maybe dislodged some debris in the passenger side dash. Try removing the cabin air filter to inspect the blower motor.

You can actually buy this whole thing for $45 online. This looks like far too much work. The resistor itself is almost as much as the motor
