I had a stalker for 9 days on a cruise and he truly almost got to me, cornered me alone in an elevator very late at night. A random couple got on and the woman noticed me giving her a look, so she pretended to know me and I got off with them. No idea what would’ve happened if they hadn’t saved me.

@@arbigodaj6442 This is the second of your comments I've seen replying to comments about people saying that women being stalked is unfortunately a common problem. I understand that men and boys can be attacked and stalked but the theme of these games and these comments is commenting on how, unfortunately, common it is for these sort of things to happen to women who live of their own, this doesn't mean that they are demeaning mens problems or saying that these things can't happen to them (which obviously it can there are many true crime cases where men have been stalked and killed by a woman or another man), they're just saying and highlighting that this is a common problem that women have to face and bringing light to it. Women should be able to complain about things that happen to them without men bringing up that it happens to them too. Both men and women should never have to be stalked and both men and women should be believed when they reveal to others that they may be being stalked but in this video and in these games they are focusing on women. There are plenty of games where men get stalked if you want to watch those instead.

yes continue to politicize something as unrelated as a short story horror game made by an indie developer. Not everything is a representation of how hard it is to be a man or a woman. It's a basic setting for a game, not a hidden critique of society's issues regarding problems that men have or problems that women have. This game is based off of Vtubers which a a big part of video content and creation and the problems within the horror story are related to real-world problems of stalking, parasocial fans that don't know boundaries, etc that can occur to any video creator. Drop this bs and just enjoy watching the video and sean.

A lot of Chilla's Art other games were featured in this game. The truck at the beginning is from the delivery game, obviously the coffee shop for the closing shift (and senpi and the character you play are behind the counter) the convenience store is played for a bit. And an extra bit of info. The first game ILoveNina! sent in the stream's chat is the layout of the stalkers apartment where you find Asuka. And all the games after that are references or complete copies of the places she's been. And the games context of taking the woman away from the "evil" police, is the stalkers reference of him saving her and locking her away. Sorry for the long explanation😅

Fun (not so fun) fact: the most stalked occupation isn't celebrity, it's actually news anchors! It's because the person watches them daily, gets both news and light chatter from them, so it becomes a weird attachment. And because it's the news, their real name as a reporter/anchor is easily findable vs a celeb who might have a fake/stage name, PLUS they're often much more local and accessible to run into compared to a proper celebrity. I do wonder if the rise of streaming challenges that top spot, though.

A couple decades ago in the early 90s, I was a housecleaner (chicago suburbs). One of our clients was one of the Chicagoland TV news weatherman. His home was absolutely gorgeous. He was always gone when we came to clean, so we had the key to his home to let ourselves in to do our job and leave. Housecleaning has a LOT of boundaries and trust between client and cleaner, obviously. Weatherman fully trusted us and we never did a single thing to make him or his life feel uncomfortable at all. We never snooped. We never stole a thing. We never did anything with the house key except let ourselves in on cleaning day twice a month. It only takes a second to destroy trust. I heard this saying long ago and it needs to apply to everyone: The most important thing a person has is their word. And once that trust is broken, once the person lets the other down, that's it. Reputation is tarnished or even destroyed. Forever. No matter what happens in the future, there will never be 100% trust in that person again. Always a doubt in the mind even if the one who broke whatever trust before NEVER does it again. They may be 100% loyal to their word for the rest of their life, but to all others, the suspicion will always be there. The most important thing humans have is their word.

Yeah I loved that, it’s something more people definitely need to realise. Although I do hugely sympathise. There’s a lot of people out there who literally just want a friend, a connection with someone. So having a person seemingly devoted to entertaining ‘you’ must feel so, alluring. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using them as a placebo, just to know there is a person out there who appreciates you (even if just as a fan/viewer) But, that’s definitely where it should end. Any kind of co-dependent relationship is extremely unhealthy

@@reinlee5542 unfortunately, there are these kinds of people in this world. Catfishers are similar in this tactic, sometimes they make their own "friend's" accounts on multiple phones. And when you're suspicious that they're catfishing you, one of the "friends" that in reality is the catfish, they will gaslight you. One of my old friend groups was like this where this one guy catfished as some influencer with edits on his face, as his model brother, and even as his brother's wife. In reality, he was some asian kid. He managed to gaslight everyone and for those who pointed him out, his gaslit followers were the first to jump to his defense and ended up ostracizing them. And in this game, essentially the boyfriend got people involved in order to gaslight Nina into thinking she was in danger, that her friend was against her, and that she was actually being stalked all in order for her to get back together with him due to feelings of gratitude.

Word of advice to anyone who ever runs into a stalking situation: *document* *everything* ! I can’t stress this enough that the more evidence you have to show that this person is stalking you the better case you have. It can help you file restraining orders against the person, and bring up charges against them for trespassing. Also check if there’s personal security companies that are willing to help you. It only just hit me that the ex sends you a pic of Asuka and the stalker, but in doing so he just revealed that he knows who’s been stalking her, otherwise why would Asuka and a random man talking be weird to him? For all he knew she’s only talking to the guy because he came up to her in the street and harassed her or something, but the ex was the one right there ready to take a photo, ready to make Asuka look bad. In the end Asuka knew the stalker because she saw Nina’s photo earlier. The way this game has you second guessing every person you interact with, the fear it invokes in you doing even simple everyday tasks, the violation of your home which is supposed to be a safe place-all of this is exactly what real stalking victims experience. Truly chilling.

Yes, but the contrivances of the plot kind of annoy me. You can’t order Uber eats but it gives you the option to (to shoehorn in the boyfriend). You can’t ban the obvious stalker in chat, you can’t stop streaming for a few days, you can’t call the police. You can’t confront the stalker with any sort of weapon. It makes Nina seem very reactive instead of proactive in what could/ almost definitely is a life or death situation. Why would Nina continue playing the game? Just because she was threatened to? That’s not how a normal streamer would react to these series of events. A normal steamer would put 2 and 2 together and assume the threatening message came from the viewer who gave them the game. Meaning that “ilovenina” (obvious stalker name) would get banned for either of 2 reasons. 1. Because the game is clearly a virus or malicious. 2. Because the chatter probably threatened her.

I'm not sure if Sean realised but the girl working behind the counter in the Chilla's Coffee part of the game (20:42) *is* actually the main character in The Closing Shift - the girl with the ponytail & fringe. You can tell it's her bc not only is the guy working behind the counter the same (the asshole Senpai in Closing Shift) but also because when she's being stalked in Closing Shift you can see her face in the picture one of the stalkers left her on the table - seeing her ponytail and fringe. Because it's the same location and Closing Shift is set during winter it's clear that this is spring or summer maybe half a year before the events of Closing Shift. It's cool details like that which make Chilla's Art games so refined! Edit: This might be speculation but also I think the man who takes the rubbish early on in the game is the boyfriend since they both have the same face, and in the coffee shop scene the hoodie stalker guy also is eating a matcha cake (28:03), possibly because it was what Nina asked for too. These could be re-used textures or character models though!

I think it's set after the game! The detective (Hasaku) is mentioned to be missing, and the two girls which are high school girls in Closing Shift are the ones you overhear talking in this game about being in college)

Yeah I def thought it was her ! But it’s after the game since the “friends” have graduated. But didn’t she die? Did she survive somehow? I need more answers 😭 ..so she’s alive but does that mean she’s still dealing with that stalker?
@pagesofeuphrasia8 ай бұрын
@@yb.2992so there’s multiple theory’s about this that are discussed in a later thread. Basically one theory is that MC of the closing shift (is that what it’s called?) has ptsd from being stalked, that when she killed the stalker and went home afterwards he wasn’t actually there but that she was scared and would forever live with that fear of “what if” (makes sense bc the brick would’ve killed him bc of how dense it is and how high it fell from so it could’ve just been her ptsd and anxiety from the events acting up but she was actually safe) another theory is that he didn’t kill her but he did sexually assault her and then the last theory talked ab was how there could’ve been 2 stalkers, the one that lived in the cafe and then the phone guy, and while she killed the cafe guy the phone guy was still alive and in her apartment and he’s the one who got to her. All are very good theories but I personally think it’s the first one (the ptsd one) I feel like it just makes so much more sense especially bc of how chillas games usually go and I feel like it would’ve been accurate to portray ptsd like that.

“Fatphobia” isn’t a real word, stop getting offended because people aren’t lying about you being “skinny” and instead are telling you the truth about your weight

@@Spud_magee69 fatphobia is a made up word, but so is every other word that exists. Don't take the word "fatphobia" literally. Its actual meaning is the hatred or discrimination of fat people because they are fat. dont sugar coat body shaming, because it really affected my life and millions of other's lives.
