That's the best thing about New York - so many diverse food options! Locals are always a good sign! Totally prefer small shops and hidden gems to big chains!

I love that you went to those tiny places that were hidden away like that! Having to go through other stores to get to the place you're eating makes it all the more fun.

Joe is a good guy! We are big fans of all of the spots in the video, especially Arepa Lady and La Esquina del Camaron Mexicano! Their taco de pulpo with griddled onions is excellent.

I miss living in Queens. Especially Jackson Heights and Woodside. Great food everywhere you look, 24 hours a day...

The indian/tibetan dishes pretty much only span a block and a half. The rest of the neighborhood is pretty much latino (Colombian, Peru, Ecuadorian, Mexican, Argentinian/Uruguayan). Give the different dishes a shot. It's not the same food simply because they're all hispanic.

Even if I lived in NYC, I think it would take me a lifetime to experience all the yummy restaurants in the city. So many hidden gems too. I need Joe to take me on a food tour lol. How on earth did he find all these random places! So much good ethnic food in this vid! Indian, Tibetan, Colombian, Mexican...yuuuum....

Joe is an expert, he's been writing/blogging on the NYC food scene for 15 years, this was a cake walk for him. I think we may link up to do an NYC chinatown video in the spring. Thanks for stopping by, I know you're somebody that appreciates good food also!

New York food is amazing but it does have its limits though. The local fruits is not as good as local fruits from an actual tropical country like Brazil for example. I love French and Japanese food but in my experience, France and Japan will have better food in that category. In my opinion the best thing New York does best is American style pizza

Freaking 6$ for a Sev Puri!!!!!!! Here in India we eat it for 20INR which is like a quarter dollar! If at all you visit India, get in touch with me, I'll make sure you have the best Indian food. You should try the Indian 'Paan' which is Betel Leaf in New York and make a vlog on that too! Subscribing to your channel!

Grew up in Queens in the '60's and '70's - diversity meant the Irish bar, the Italian pizzeria, the Jewish deli, the German bakery, and a Chinese restaurant that didn't card minors at the bar.

I LOVE arepas! $5 is a decent price - in Barcelona it's €5. Was that a ceviche? I've never had Tibet food, but I've had momos from Nepal, and they looked quite similar. Definitely gonna visit this place if I come to New York!
