McQueen would definitely beat Storm through his learned techniques like drafting, reflexes, and intuition. McQueen is not only a very experienced racer but also a very good driver. Remember in Cars 1? McQueen, as a rookie racer, managed to flawlessly navigate a Chaotic wreck of 33 cars. And in Cars 3, he enters a Demolition Derby and makes it out without a scratch. The only damaged he received was a burst tyre and that was only because he had to help Cruz. Lightning is a very good racer and would easily able to beat Storm.

In Cars 1, his top speed is actually 212 Mph. It's said in Cars 3 that Storm broke the previous lap speed record reaching a speed of 213 Mph and in Cars 1, we actually see McQueen reach 212, so that must be the record Storm broke. They also do say, "We've never seen anyone cross the line with that kind of speed and power since a young Lightning McQueen first arrived on the scene." In Cars 2, he does get slight mods to help him against Francesco which pushes his top speed up to 246 Mph

​@@davidlungujr6857mcqueen is a smart racer, don't get me wrong. however, the new era and the rookies are always going to have the advantage. mcqueen had the higher prime speed, but storm has the better tools and holds the ideal line better than McQueen did in his rookie years and this is proven since they've used stats to ensure storm holds the ideal speed and line consistency that rookies in mcqueens era wouldn't have due to outdated technology in comparison to storm's era

I really want Pixar to make a sequel, Cars 4, where they reveal the character and personality of Jackson and help him improve. He deserves his arc. McQueen, Mater and Cruz arc is over. Yeah, his character from pre-Cars 3 was way better in his backstory. Yes, but I want Cars 4 to be the first and only Pixar movie to be longest hour that I wished for. Because I want Cars 4 to be Cars 2 again is perfect fit as a finale, and the reveal a lot of foreshadowing from three previous movies mostly Cars 2 .

actually prime lighting mqueens real top speed is 250mp easily beating storm but mqueen could easily get restored to his original state from cars 1 because mqueen didn’t swap any actual engine parts so his engine probably wasn’t running at 100% anymore and his frame is probably pretty rusty on the underside and 2006 to 2017 is 11 years so imagine how much wear and tear his engine got in that time span even though he got probably got his oil changed and stuff it probably wasn’t enough so after awhile his engine performance dropped dramatically because it wasn’t being taken care of properly
