You ladies might not see it that way but back in the Jackson 5 days, Jermaine was considered the sex symbol of the group. Michael was far too young for that of course. Women in my family who grew up on the Jackson 5 talked about how all the women loved Jermaine and Jackie so that guy wasn't wrong LOL!

Kat right. He said it with so much swagger, and he wonders why women wanted to do nasty things to him. He was so oblivious to his sex appeal. In and 1980 Jet article he says the fan mail he'd get from women were so x-rated that it scared him & that he was more into traditional relationships than groupies. What a tease!

Mario York LoL, Michael was the huge success of the Jackson 5, hello cant you see mike was the main vocal for every song they made, did you even see when Mike went solo, the Jacksons didn’t got really anywhere, but Mikeys career only grew and grew. And his fame went mad insane to the point where he can’t go to grocery ot public places without people crowding all over him and it’ll look like he’s having concert.

Yall are racist and passive aggressive gaslighters. U dont acknowledge the brothers cause if u do, u have to contend with their blackness. The screaming crowds in America were black before thriller. Michael was born in August of 1958 and I was born 8 months later in April of 1959. Man I wish that many of you could have been there for the phenomenal journey the Jackson 5 took the world on when they burst onto the music scene! It was an unbelievable magical time and a way to escape the troubles of the day such as the Vietnam war! Thanks for being the soundtrack of my life Jackson family. I can't imagine my life without you guys singing me through it. I'm 61 years old and I listen to your music every day. And I've done this for over 50 years! Wow!

Me too! I was born in July 1959. There was evil, violent #SystemicRacism & Sexism, the Vietnam War & a social war between the 'Baby Boomers' & the established old guard. Protesters carried signs to #EndTheWarInVietnam #IAmAMan #BlackIsBeautiful & #AWomynsPlaceIsInTheHouse (of representatives✌🏾😉). Times were a' changing big time! Imagine 2020 but a hundred times worse. That's why they were one of the first groups to tour OUTSIDE the U.S.A.! No "Chitlin" Circuit for #TheJackson5 .. They tried with #Motown & their bus was attacked. Scared everybody bad. #JoeJackson allowed his kids to go without him only b/c the whole tour was heavily chaperoned by #Motown .. but never again. It was a lesson #JoeJackson learned the first time. So, it was definitely an intentional strategy to develop an international Fan Base to combat U.S. & U.K. #SystemicRacism across the board. Not sure if it was a collective decision with #BerryGordy under #Motown or just a #Jackson #Family decision but remember.. both the #Music #Charts & #Ratings were segregated along racial lines. For their music to be played on "white" radio (the music was not integrated yet) the #Jackson5 had to be in the top ten on the "Black Race" Charts then be picked up by "white" radio which was considered "mainstream" radio well into the early 1980s. #MichaelJackson smashed so many racial barriers himself, but it all started back at #Motown when he was a member of the #Jackson5 & continued throughout his entire career. #MJ #Prince & #Madonna together with others busted additional barriers to smithereens! At 62 y.o. the music soundtrack of my life will always be #TheJackson5 #TheJacksons #MichaelJackson #JanetJackson & so on. They R all phenomenal, extraordinary musical icons & heroes. So sorry that I have never met a #Jackson in person, but I am an eternal lifelong Fan. They R Family to me. One day, I will meet them one by one to personally #Thank them for the #Magic & their #Music .. Cuz #Music has no color/racial barriers. #MichaelJackson embodied #Music .. That's why he was so dangerous. He brought people TOGETHER. His audiences were the most diverse worldwide. Everywhere he went, he was consciously dismantling systemic racism. The man was spiritually #INVINCIBLE ✌🏾🌈🌍💜🎆❤

@@Diwani_Spark14 They released product in Europe that they didnt release stateside. That 27 number was correct (at that time). Of course, after they left Motown, Motown released additional product, so that number has grown exponentially. For some insight, the Jacksons/Jackson5 received an award for 200 million sold a few years back. These folks were the heaviest of heavyweights.
@fostermac7170
@fostermac7170 Жыл бұрын
@@candyDander No, they meant LP's. If u are young and don't know what that means, Google it. That 27 number has been dwarfed. As for singles, let's just say they had recorded roughly 75 singles before they released any on an album. Motown still occasionally releases them on compilation albums and such.

Many MJ fans gave him too much credit, for getting the fact that Michael always said, “we worked as a team”. Yes Michael was the star but he never ever outshined his brothers because they were successful together. They created music as a team. That’s how their father raised them to always work together as a team. And I don’t believe Jermaine was ever on Some hate vibe towards Michael. He was outspoken and spoke facts. The media and the industry tried to separate them.

no. we have to understand both sides, its not black or white. Yes, they were a team, nobody argues with that. But its also fact, that Michael was the most talented, so called ''golden child'' and even Joe Jackson knew this, thats why he made him number 1 in the band as soon as he could. Michael next to his great talent, had this magnetic personality you have to be born with, in order to take things to the next level, Jermaine was always jealous of that, its well documented fact also. And of course they loved each other as brothers, but with that kind of complex family& in this business, its normal u have mix of all these feelings : love, jealousy etc. Thats the only one truth here.

there’s people who have normal child hoods and have super star fame. then there’s kids who have super star fame but never reach that peak again and have regular lives as adults. then there’s michael jackson who never had a normal life since the age of 11 gaining fame and then so,e how becoming more famous as he got older as amazing as that is i think it makes sense that nobody will ever be able to truly understand his mind set other then the few less then one percent of people that have been through the same thing but i really don’t think anyone has been as famous as he was from that age to his death.

Poor Michael. All that fame and press idiocy killed his soul off. He paid the ultimate price that most people fortunately don’t have to pay. Imagine your life being like this where you can’t navigate through an airport or a single city block without thousands of people chasing you around and then the press tries to destroy you because your innocent actions are considered “bizarre” and “creepy”. He had no right of privacy since he was 10 years old, and yet today there are too many delusional people who say they want to be an extremely famous person without knowing the unexpected costs. Fame is a dangerous drug and ones own repressive injunction and michael’s nutty father has caused him to live one of the most terrible, bizarre lives you could imagine. RIP Michael. At least all the noise is gone for you.
