Don't give up. Stop giving to people that will not appreciate you and if you must......leave the area and continue your family's legacy somewhere else. The area is and has been bad for years now. Sometimes you have to cut ties and move on. The reason my family doesn't eat/visit there is because the risk of being in that area isn't worth good BBQ. As a small business owner myself (in the same area) I understand her pain. But tough decisions must be made to secure your business as well as your own safety.

Ion believe its cause its break in causing her loses i definitely believe she not using all the money to the business she spending it on her self and cant add the money back for it. Granted the area has changed..I remember when GREAT people, hard working people..REAL neighbors build the community. Being a home owner in this community I have witness what has invaded the community and brought the community to what it is now. Each generation the community has changed . Do not let " them" do to this community what was done to Uptown/LaVilla area and Springfield just to name a few. Holly's has been a staple in the community for years ; however it's more to the breakends then some random person sounds like an inside job.

@@itodave100 - You know what's Funny? I met this person at James Weldon Johnson Park in the middle of Downtown Jacksonville. Brought together by a few cupcakes, and a person (woman of color) that talked about Grandma's. Kind of like an introduction. Transient person after that introduction more or less voluntold me of hanging out at Sonny's bar b que. Turns out that person was trying to be a stalker of me. Even, slept in that park for dogs. Main street Park near me for a while. Loaned me a horse blanket for a cold night sleeping at the Voters building because of the cement. Turns out that person, and the intentions was to cause me harm. That person didn't come out from nowhere.
