Hey everyone! I just want to mention two things. 1) A lot of you are mention the thumbnail. This is a screen shot from a face She pulls in the video for about 2 minutes while putting on a voice. She put it in her video for millions of people to see, and she is aware how many people will see her face like that. She seems to have a good sense of humour. I’m sure she wouldn’t care. 2) If you’ve watched my MUA reacts videos. You will notice I never insult the persons looks, weight, personality, personal life etc etc. It’s always about the makeup, just the makeup nothing else. Please remember that when you are leaving a comment.

@rissadawn20474 жыл бұрын
Anneli Pietersen not ONLY that but he knows how makeup works, and what doesn't work and how to judge tone, and match etc. Watching someone do their makeup all day every day isn't really teaching anyone anything , I mean sure ppl have learned some techniques or knowledge of products but basically if u know NOTHING to begin with. Even the good yt....however and what u base that on bc we all have different preferences. But when you think about it once they have any following that is....its all dozens if products they use and next work or the next day its something different, then something different again and they are selling to you. If you were trying to actually learn and follow how would you keep up?? Lol. Esp with young girls who are trying to fit in or be on "trend" regardless of what looks good or is good for their skin. I went thru a phase of wanting to just collect makeup but I'm getting back to just wanting a few GREAT products that work for me and finding MY best look not what's popular at them moment, we will always be trying new products and replacing certain things and wanting something new even as a "look" now and then but less and less ppl are teaching and we're just watching them do their makeup....and not very well lol. Plus they make false claims and "rules" that are just their opinion and some ppl are out there thinking it's the gospel lol. Heck most aren't even doing trials or reviews anymore.

Exactly!! Full coverage is not for everyone, and not just because of age. When I was 17, I would slather on the foundation, coverup and powder, thinking it was the only way to get flawless skin. Obviously, I didn't have any signs of age yet, but the reason my makeup looked super awful is because I was really dry. Dry skin looks terrible with heavy products, and the technique I use to apply my makeup is completely different from someone with normal or oily skin. I'm glad I learned my lesson! Then I pile on a drug store serum and moisturising face SPF. I also have good genes from my granny. She taught me skincare and makeup too. In my twenties people kept asking if I was in high school and kept thinking my granny was my mother. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Marley Hill you really shouldn’t exfoliate more than a couple days a week. Especially if it’s a chemical exfoliant! I used to use a cleanser that had some exfoliant combined with it and I could use that daily, but anything any more harsh than that shouldn’t ever be used daily

Ive tried doing my make up before and always felt so discouraged because it looked horrible, feeling intimated just at picking colors and always feeling like I didn’t have the right products so I just couldn’t even try. After watching tutorials here and learning WHY things weren’t working I did my make up for the first time in years and actually get really proud of my work. It wasn’t amazing, but I felt confident enough to take pictures in it and leave to the grocery store with it on. Thanks so much Robert, I thought I would never get to be one of those people that did their make up and was just not made for it, but now I feel like not only can I do it, I can get really really proficient with practice 💕❤️

I always found her makeup made her look so weird (even before she gained weight and her face got puffier), never been a fan

i think the whole way she highlights her face, makes her look very “swollen.” when she shows her bare face in her insta stories, she looks way “skinnier” than with make up on. not hating tho, i do not care about her weight gain as long as she is still happy in her own skin

@@laurenvcouto It is. Look at her older pictures, she's had so many fillers done over time that she just constantly looks like if she was stung by a bee. :/

Jaclyn Hill actually taught me how to do my makeup, through her videos. I’ve come to learn that many of her techniques do not work for me. Robert has taught me so much about makeup, theory, brushes, etc... A total game changer!

"....even my dog just sighed." I need this on a t-shirt. LOL Robert, thank you for echoing the skin care instructions from my dermatologist. I'm in my 40s with hormonal acne, facial eczema, and dry skin. Skin care is truly the foundation.

I have super oily skin and I don't even use that much powder. I started to like how my skin actually looks when it's a bit shiny, I think I look healthier... And if I get too much shine, I'll just use toilet paper to take out the excess and add just a bit a powder through out the day. So having dry skin and using THIS MUCH powder.... it's a no-no... Love your videos Robert, greetings from Portugal! 🇵🇹

Exactly!! NO ONE should ever need this much powder! I really have dry skin and can hardly even using a light dusting of powder, let alone 25 separate heavy layers!

As someone studying/training to be an esthetician, when she said I have to exfoliate so much, I immediately thought "dehydration due to overexfoliation". You might have a naturally drier skin type due to sebum production but you can also damage your moisture barrier meaning your skin isn't retaining enough water and exfoliating too much can be a culprit. She probably really needs to dial back the exfoliation and treat the dehydration and yet, she's exfoliating more and more. Masks are great ,but when you wipe them off and you don't do anything to really seal in those good ingredients, it really doesn't do much. If she changes up her skincare routine, she could see such a difference. So frustrating to me! Also, the amount of powder she uses is mystifying to me. I have combo skin and I don't use nearly that much powder, especially outside my t-zone.

She has enough money that surely she has gotten facials and been told exactly this. Her face is literally her job and to destroy it with over exfoliating is crazy.
@gracehetfield53315 жыл бұрын
@@m.iajanemadeit2324 , I would hope so. I think it might just be that bad skincare habits are hard to break. Plenty of people pop pimples and don't wear sunscreen even though they know better.

@Helena I'm just a student (can't stress that enough) but my main advice would to just be careful and pay attention to how your skin reacts. My personal philosophy is gentle is best so two different exfoliants in a routine is probably too much unless you're really spacing out your use of the products. Then again, if you're just doing something as simple as using lactic acid every other day and scrubbing your face with a washcloth, its probably not too much. Unless your skin reacts. Everyone is different. I hope that's not confusing.

@Helena Also maybe get a few other opinions before just taking my advice as I'm just an esthetics student not a licensed esthetician (yet)
