@@dannysimon9030 First,I wannt to say that I´m no expert, I jut got into Korean skin care/make-up about 8 months ago, there are many youtubers like "beauty within", James/Robert and Hyram, which are very educating and helped me a lot. So I began mainly with the skincare that got recommended often and that were available in my country, and still use them most. Those are Cosrx, Laneige and Innisfree. I also learned about my skin-type, which is not often described in our country (dehydrated oily, so much oil,little water) and searched for fitting products. I added a ph-balanced washing gel(instead of harsh ones),chemical exfoliation (very important!), and much more serums and moisturizers(masks to pack on and held onto that routine. Recommendations are difficult, because they depend more on skin type. Before, my skin looked just fine from far away, but it was textured/dry flaky skin with big pores and many black/whiteheads. It would also get very easy out of balance, because of my weakened skin-barrier(harsh face washes at fault!). At first, it didnt like the change in routine! But now everything is gone after 8 months. I also use Korean make-up( buy them on Yesstyle). I love the moonshot micro settifit cushion, it looks beautiful and very skinlike on me. But I also need much less than before and it sits perfectly on hydrated skin!

What I think is a massive problem with “KZbin” concealer techniques is that the average person who isn’t makeup savvy, is not aware of the difference between highlighting and concealing. DAILY I have customers come to me asking for a concealer to cover under eye darkness and they all want a very light shade concealer. Because that doesn’t cover the darkness they keep packing it on like they see on KZbin. It drives me crazy because they are so SO hard to convince and speak to me like I’m an idiot until a manage to persuade them to sit down so I can demo on them. Robert please do a video on the difference between colour correcting under the eye and concealing. I need people to know and to stop packing on heavy concealer that’s 4 shades too light for them.

She does not upload much because she usually busy doing magazines / runways / red carpet / movies / creative developer for Lancome, etc. Everything she shows on KZbin is applicable in real life, she doesn't show make-up just to show it on camera. + she never earned a dime off her channel, just a year and a half ago (?) she started to insert commercials through KZbin and all proceeds go to charity. @@nshvh That makes me sad to hear you haven't been colour matched correctly. There are brands that stock foundation with olive undertones. Saga Lindhé you should get samples of MAC neutral (N4-6.5) range in studio fix fluid. They have great neutral colours. I think it’s a little bit harder for artist in like Mecca maxima or Sephora as they aren’t all 100% trained in every single brand and exactly know how each foundation will sit on the all types of skin; whereas someone who works for one brand can have a better understanding on how products will sit on the skin. for instance myself; I work for one brand and can just look at someone and tell how a foundation will sit on someone skin. It comes down to experience and training! X

What people don’t understand is so many beauty guru “techniques” are designed to use the maximum amount of product per application. If you use a crapload of concealer or powder or whatever, *every day*, you have to buy new ones more often!! Then the makeup companies make more money, and the gurus make more money. I always am extremely cautious when watching those types of videos. It’s important to understand that you are almost always being marketed to, and you need to critically think about why they’re telling you what they’re telling you. It’s nice to see more youtubers getting popular that are actually good makeup artists who don’t just try to peddle products!

We come back to the point of everyone is different, you don’t need as much foundation does NOT mean, only pin point foundation, use your normal foundation. So, what people in this video are trying to teach you is do NOT pile product when most likely you don’t need it because you will get rid of the redness but you will create texture. What I would suggest is adjust the amount of foundation/pin point concealing to the areas of your face accordingly that’s all.

I have extremely oily skin and I was using a “normal” amount of foundation but within a couple hours my oils were already breaking it down and it would look horrible. I would end up just wiping it all off. Your videos have helped so much with explaining which primers to use (I was using the wrong type) Right after I put on my primer I use setting spray as recommended and then I use a small amount of foundation. I don’t use the setting spray at the end and I stopped putting setting powder on my face besides a tiny bit on my nose. My makeup stays on all day now. I still look oily but my makeup isn’t cakey or literally sliding off my face. When the foundation starts to crease I can just dab it a bit with my fingers and it looks good again. I love watching Snitchery do her Cos makeup and such. To see another KZbinr do “normal” makeup is great. I use watch a ton of influencers, but over the last year and a half I only watch a few with Robert being my favorite. I’m older than most, 48, so I don’t need a ton of makeup. I just want to look good when I go see clients. So my makeup is not heavy.
@labaccident20104 жыл бұрын
I’m still a youngster at 26, and I work at a restaurant with customers. Makeup isn’t necessary, but it does help me avoid getting asked if I’m feeling okay, as without it I always have dark circles. I’m ridiculously pale regardless, so that one is unavoidable.

Fan brushes are nice, but the only problem is the fact that it doesn't allow you freedom in the shape of your highlight. It just looks like a defused straight line. I personally like my highlights to curve like my cheeks.

@sassy_sunshine34504 жыл бұрын
Many of us have ideas for merchandising. I'm not sure how many others have pestered him for it, but I know I have. 😳 Both he and James are flat out hilarious and quick with good one liners. I have no idea what goes into being a professional at this type of thing, like costs and shipping, and international logistics, so it could be tougher than it's worth. But who couldn't use a little black something or other with a splash of purple and stars and moons and general witchery-do-dads with snarky one liners?

I've been thinning my liquid lipstick with a finger, like you do with a bullet one, for quite a while, and I love it. It does last longer, it's more wearable and if it fades, it will fade in a nicer way. Still pretty drying, but I don't mind it, I just hydrate my lips after I take my make up off.
@linaess84834 жыл бұрын
I do the exact same thing but another step that makes it better and not drying at all is after youve dabbed it in with your finger, get a tissue and stamp your lips on it quickly! Excess product disappears, lasts me hours and fades even better and definately not drying!

I remember getting so frustrated when I first started watching makeup tutorials around 2015 and when I tried it out on myself it looked so textured and cakey. The makeup always looked so smooth on their skin even when they were packing on lots of concealer, foundation, etc. but it never looked good on me no matter what product or technique I tried. I'm glad that "real life" makeup/classical makeup techniques are regaining popularity as I only learned what worked for me through trial and error. More tutorials of this style when I was first starting to use makeup would've been so useful.
