But before reading your bible you should pray for an understanding and then I also pray as soon as I'm done reading my bible. Hope this helps! :))

Well I’m 60 yrs old. I was a truck driver till aug 2019. To make a long story short I was on my way home and my truck broke down. I was legally parked 13 feet from the travel lane and another semi hit me doing 70mph. If he hadn’t hit me he would of hit the toll booth and would of killed whoever was in it. The other driver walked away from the accident. I had a brain bleed and the doctors told me I was extremely lucky because most people either die on the scene or in the hospital. I have to have surgery on my back and both my shoulders. One of my main problems is my memories the only I can remember is about truck driving. I don’t remember high school or nothing like that in my past. Well I bought a bible and started reading it. I read about 20 pages a day. And I try to pray every day. I’m over halfway in reading the Bible. What I don’t understand is how much is a chapter. I have an incredible urge now to read the Bible and go to church now after I have my back surgery. I only watch Christian tv shows. Do you have any suggestions on praying or anything. Ty

I also like how dedicated she is, I've never been that dedicated with anything in my life. I always quit when it gets too hard. One thing people who are starting to study needs to remember, you don't have rules to follow when you study. Everyone is different. Some people only highlights verses that are important/meaningful in that moment. Some people highlight the bullet points of the story. I highlight the parts of the story so that if I look back I can just read my highlights and know the story again. Its all up to you. I even draw pictures in my bible, some people don't write in theirs at all. Some people read cover to cover in order, some people just pick books randomly. It's all up to you.

I used to be Catholic, didn't really go to church, didn't really believed in God 100%. Then my dad died when I was 11, my grandma died 4 months after it, and I became an atheist, I "hated" God, I blamed God, I literally couldn't stand in a church or near someone that was willing to try to talk to me about Christ. I went through a lot of difficulties during this time. Then out of nowhere at 15 (almost 16) I had this "feeling" and I tried to give this "Jesus thing" a shot... and well, I am now a christian and learning every day more, my mom became christian as well (waaay before me) and my bf is a catholic (he's more a christian but he doesn't even realize) and I just... God saved me, He changed my life... and I was just looking for some online study group or smt and your vid came up so yeah, that's it

I just gave my grand-daughter a Bible for her 18th birthday and I'm so going to send her your channel. I want her to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. I've been serving Jesus since 1987 and I have some advise for you, never, never say that you don't have a testimony. I remember my Son when he was probably 18 told me the same thing and I reminded him and I'm reminding you that you guys have the best testimony. Your testimony is .that God has kept you and you have not been tarnish by the things of this world. How cool and awesome is that!! He has preserved you! My son kept himself pure till the age of 22 when he got married to his lovely wife who also had kept herself pure. This is something that is so rare these days but with Jesus is possible. I've been a believer since 1984, however I didn't start to understand the Bible until my late 20's. Since March 2015 I've been doing deep study of all 66 books of the Bible based on my Sunday school lessons. I'm now an assistant teacher for my Sunday School adult class. John is a good place to start despite it being the most cerebral of the four gospels. John presents Jesus as the Son of God and stresses His divine nature and deity more than the other three. It has no parables, stresses the relationship between the Father and Son and its theme is love. I have so many resources and handouts to help me with my Bible study that it's not even funny. I'm a teacher by profession so studying for me is a no brainer! God bless! I think I'll go read my Sunday School lesson 😁😁!!

livvy 09 there’s actually a ton of different genres of Christian music. Skillet is a rock band that’s really good if you want to punch them into pandora. Or even type in there Christian ______. There’s Christian rap stations, pop, etc. also I turned off the explicit stuff

Wow! This is definitely your best video by far. I love it though I'm a Muslim. It helped me realise that it's high time to make small steps to get closer to Almighty. I studied in an all girls' Catholic School for 14 years and we would actively participate in Christmas and Easter Celebrations. The bonding was great. The school respected our faith and wished us on our festivals.. This world can be a better place. Let's keep spreading love and positivity! ❤

Depression and OCD mixed with Presbyterian Christianity broke my mind for years. I was miserable from age 6-13 because I was so terrified. The Bible and the church hurt me VERY badly. However, I still believe in God and I want a better relationship with him. I am now 15, and I’m about to try to dig back into my bible. It is going to hurt, but I am going to try. Pray for me please!

I decided to subscribe after watching your Q and A where you mentioned your faith. I am a freshmen right now and I have really started to take my faith seriously even though I've grown up in the church my whole life. My parents got divorced and I fell away from God but now I am trying to grow closer to him and I will defidently be trying some of your tips to read the bible more. I have started to study the bible many times before and have never been successful in creating a habit but I hope I will be better this time. I really love all of your videos but especially the ones about your faith and I think you should do those more often. They are very inspiring and applicable to my life right now. Thank you!

This video has really encouraged me to begin studying the Bible again. Since going to college and life happening I feel like I’ve had a great disconnection with my faith and want to begin reading and studying again. To me the trinity was always hard to explain to people even though I 100% believe it. I watched a video recently that made it easier. We are made in God's image and I believe that means there are 3 parts to us as well: physical body, soul (emotions and thought processes), and spirit (which is dead because of sin until we ask Jesus into our lives and the Holy Spirit comes into our lives and "wakens" that part of us). I definitely don't claim to understand it all now but it made more sense to me when I heard it explained that way. ❤ Bible study has always been a difficult discipline in my Christian walk to cultivate and keep going on. I need all the help I can get. Thank you for this video. 🙏🤗

I personally believe that the KJV is the closest translated version from the original language, while the ESV is the easiest to read. And it is important that we let the Bible explain itself, ALWAYS.
