@Kendall Masters -I wish I could give you a huge hug! Yesterday was my Brother's Bday an he died 7 years ago. Seems like yesterday! And my Mom also died recently in a bad accident and I just feel empty. They were BOTH my best friends. Mom & I leaned on each other (well, and Daddy too) a lot for comfort or laughs or to have a good cry. But Mom and I were best friends also. Always! She loved right next to me, on my property. Now I look at her bedroom window and my heart is as empty as her room. Anyway I babbled but I SO know how you feel. Basically every day that ends in "Y" is a day I wish I could celebrate/share something with Mom. Im blessed to have Dad, Hubby & two kids but....come on, NOBODY gets it Until they go through it. Keep your chin up. It doesn't get easier.....you just get more used to it I guess?!!? XOXOXOXO

A big help for people with anxiety, especially for me, when I take tests I flip out. I've had panic attacks from them and everything. But something that really helps is when taking your test, START from the LAST question, and then go to the first. By working your way backwards it helps a lot!!!!!

I don't think it was sarcasm. Regardless, even for people who deliberately say "I don't want kids" sometimes it happens. Because people are capable of being careless. Even when they don't want them. I have plenty of friends who said that they didn't want kids. Swore up and down and then it just happened. Some think it's a blessing. Some think it's a burden.

I don't speak to my father either and I'm ok with it finally. I used to be the biggest daddies girl even after my parents divorce 21 years ago when I was 7 until I was about 13 and realized I was replaced by his new family and he no longer cared about me, what I was accomplishing and helping my mom who was struggling immensely to help me live my extremely expensive athletic dreams. Last I spoke to him was at my wedding 3 years ago as a favor to my grandma, his mother, so she could be there for me on my big day and make her happy because it hurts her so much that I don't speak to him and angers my grandpa. I feel happier now that I'm done trying to please him and make him proud. People always tell me get over it and make amends because you'll regret it one day but I know whats best for me and makes me happy. Not speaking to him makes me happy and really helped heal my depression so I am ok with it and will not have any regrets. He is the adult and I shouldn't always be the one trying to repair things. He never even acknowledged my birthday over the past 15 years, ever!, not even a card but I could care less now. I actually had two of my uncles walk me down the aisle when I was married and would have had another, my dads brother, but he had passed away almost two years before. Life isn't always rainbows and unicorns but I'm a big girl now and don't need to do anything to please him anymore so I'm right there with you. I also always had to get straight A's and be the best for him and it was stressful and exhausting especially as a little girl.

It's like it's not your body soooo why do you care how someone uses it?!
@BarbieBex058 жыл бұрын
+Corinne Francis yes!!!!!! Or the fact my boyfriend and I bought a house together. We are committed just not in a rush to get a piece of paper that says what we already know in our hearts yet everyone feels the need to push their opinions on us and give it to us without asking for it. There was an article that came out that said for people to mind their business and stop asking about kids. It said "do you ever stop to think what you're saying to people hurts?? Do you think maybe they say they don't want kids because they CANT have kids and it hurts or it's embarrassing to admit they can't and every time you ask , you bring up the hurt again?! Seriously STFU - no one asks you when you're going to abort your next pregnancy so stop asking when people are going to have another kid" - I loved the article and it made me feel at peace with my decision because society thinks I'm here to make babies and sandwiches lol.

I just found you and subscribed in spite of the fact I'm probably too old for your channel. :) But since you address the kid question here, I want to share that I've been married 26 years and had my first kid at age 34 (eight years after wedding), and second kid at age 37. They are both in high school now and have turned out really well. I think older moms can be awesome in that we are more chilled out and more financially set than when we were younger. So that's just anecdotal evidence, but don't let anyone rush you. You will know when you are ready.

I watched this video before I started to get anxiety, so I just heard you talk about it and it didn't get to me.. But months later, I rewatched it for some random reason, and I really believe it was a sign to tell me how to handle my anxiety. That's what I've been trying to do lately, just toughen up, do what you gotta do, and move on! Thank you so much Jaclyn that's exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you thank you thank you!

I am with one of your posters about the dog issue. I used to help with rescue and I always had dogs since I was 2. When we were teenagers my dad said we could each have our own dog, as opposed to just one family dog, and it was great. They didn't get lonely and bored , they always had someone to play with and kept eachother busy. Even when I moved out I always had AT LEAST 2 dogs because they are very social and need to belong and be with others. They are pack oriented and do WAY better if they have a buddy, unless you are the kind of person that takes their dog everywhere and spends lots of time with them, always hangs out with them. I always hung out with my dogs, (they don't get bitchy like some people can be!) and we would sometimes go through the drive thru at the Dairy Queen for mini ice cream cones, except for the big dog, he got regular size and ate it in one gulp!

Can we say energy??????? Girl you are a hoot! I was out of breathe when you got through......but very interesting! DO NOT feel pressure to have children until you are ready. My daughter has a four year old and a two year old and she is 34 years old and going to have another one. Enjoy your 20's. Children are divine gifts from God, but they change everything about your life! Really enjoyed the video :)

***** It is a very personal decision and my daughter didn't marry until she was 27 and was married for three years before our first one came along. Since you have a choice at this point in your life, make it YOUR choice. I am 59 years old and I will live as long as God intends for me to live. And while I do I will be intertwined in my grandchildren's lives......but God gives us all wisdom to make right choices for our lives. Take your time and seek HIS face. He always knows what's right! lol You're just out of college......enjoy yourself girlfriend :)

My take on having the two dogs, I had one puppy-my baby-for the longest time, and my boyfriend decided it was time for another one. After much deliberation (my boyfriend pretty much gave me huge puppy eyes and made that damn cute face that always wins) we got another one. WELL....my old puppy and the new puppy, became besties...... I no longer got all the attention and cuddles and even though I've never admitted it, I was a tad jealous and a little heartbroken. I wasn't number 1 anymore :( He doesn't even sleep on the bed with me anymore!! He sleeps in the little house with THE OTHER PUPPY. Im okay with it now. Ive moved on. Accepted the fact that he found someone better, more fluffy, and whom he can run endlessly with in the dog park. Im happy for them. Just be warned Jaclyn. :)
