The lightning L3 series has to be turned to S or P and locked on and turned 2-3 turns to tighten it to prevent leaking. Most people don't read the instructions. If you have it on a shrader valve and it is on P for presta it will not fill the tire with air. It works beautiful if you read and follow the instructions. If not you will be frustrated and leave a negative review like some people. We can't help that a great product gets bad reviews because some people are mentally challenged.

FNPT. Female National Pipe Taper , some say thread . Keep in mind there are open and closed type air chuck fittings . Use the closed type on valve stems with the Schrader valve installed . Open type is used when inflating tires without a Schrader valve , this will not restrict the air flow to seat the tire beads . 107/23

Nice review for a product that is well needed by many. As a truck driver I've been looking for someone to upgrade the locking air chucks that were already on the market. Most were cheap quality and overpriced. Hopefully this product will force others companies to up their game. There is zero fun trying to inflate a flat truck tire to 100psi holding onto a Chuck hoping the tire doesnt blow up on you.

I have an AP digital one which uses one of them coin battery’s. Doesn’t last for crap and it’s kind of a paint to replace every time. Maybe the Jaco with dual AAA batteries would last must longer

Is there a consumer grade digital tire gauge that stops by itself so you can preset, like those fancy ones they use at valvoline? Otherwise I'm thinking of hacking a JACO FlowPro 2.0 to use the body and sensor with a lil microcontroller and a solenoid valve...

Seriously, I looked at the Jaco Digital Air Inflator (DAI) about 6 months ago. It seemed OK for the price and I would have probably gone with it. However, before pulling the trigger, I came across the Astro #3018 which is the white box version of the tool truck brands. Quick chuck. Easy to use. Works perfect for the need. Accurate as heck plus I got it on sale. My neighbor who is a mechanic by trade has the same exact tool for his garage but his has a tool truck name on his and mine doesn't. He paid double maybe triple for his because of the name on the tool. The other thing, it's amazing how things change when you get something like this. For years it was a stick gauge, dial gauge or a small digital gauge was was someone improved. You stuck with "this is the best gauge" mentality when check air pressure in tires. A stick air chuck and the like. Now you can get a digital for the most part fairly accurate DAI for relatively good price without breaking the tool budget. For my RV, I bought a more basic AAI (analog air inflator) from harbor freight and bought the QD air chuck. Works just fine air up bike tires or other needs around the camp site. There was no reason for a DAI, since I might use it 3 times if that all season where the one I use at home gets used at least once a month if not more.

Can these lighting air chuck replace the screw-on chuck which comes default on many power tool 18V battery Tire Inflator Units? It would be faster using these types of air chuck than a screw-on one but only if it they can work with 18V battery Tire Inflators?

Milwaukee has a screw on connector and it’s set point is spot on for their 12v mode

These chucks are made for use with shop-type air compressors and tire inflators, not the 12v pumps. Although we are offering adapters soon for these as well.

The battery life indicator on the screen will advise on when its time to change batteries.

Put new batteries in it? This isn't a EOTWAWKI solution nor is it a toss it in the truck and use ti 10 months from now sort of thing. I see this as a shop/RV/Weekend outing setup and LCD displays take next to no power. Should last a good long time.

@@denoftools I did listen to what you said, and I guess I'm the one being critical, but as a mechanic, I air up every car that comes through my bay, and to me the fittings look pretty good, but the digital gauges look a bit lacking. Having no hands on experience myself, do you think the quick air chuck fittings would stand up to forty 30-40 tires a day?

I won't delete honest reponses regardless if they are pro or negative but this seems like a troll comment. Before working with them I checked all their reviews and the lowest I could find was 4.5 stars. So I'm going to need refrences here. (comment edited to rephase as 4.5 stars. "Some people say you suck!". Yeah, it was me but I am "some people". CNN does this every single day and twice on Sunday. Don't stoop to their level. Also, I think you are trying too hard to find fault here. This product has 933 with less than 10% 1 star. That is a great ratio! Also several of the negative reviewers say there is no way to contact the company yet JACO lists their phone number in the flipping header of their website and they have responded to 43 questions on this product listing alone not to mention 20 other listings on Amazon. Also, there are dozens of comments saying the company was very responsive to them. This, to me, looks like competitors trying to tear them down. I know, I've been a seller on Amazon for 10 years now. When other companies can't compete they cheat and its usually pretty obvious when they do.
