In very large families in Lebanon, often sons and daughters were sent to become priests and nuns. They received educations and positions in the church. It was done even in the last 50 years.

Syriac is not an ethnic group,it's a name given to Christian followers of the Syrian church . It's followers were Assyrians, Arameabs Arabs and more

If either of you are Syriac Orthodox, as I am, then you wrongly refer to yourselves as monophysites; we are miaphysites.

Is it purposeful that you refer to Non-Chalcedonians as Monophysites instead of Miaphysites? Even the chart at 4:31 rightly refers to us as miaphysite

It's ironic. The neochalcedonians are actually monophysite because they reject Christ assumed a human hypostasis which He made one with Himself. They say that He assumed human nature without hypostatic properties (such as location, hair color, nose shape, etc), which means the logical conclusion of their newly made Christology is nothing more than the ancient heresy of Docetism. Anathema to Leo, Justinian, Maximus, and Damascene, and to all who subscribe to their despicable faiths!

Thanks again for all of your amazing content! I never heard of this man, and I highly doubt the "History Channel" would ever do a documentary about him and his impact. On another note WTF happened to that channel? They literally sold their soul to "ice truckers, pawn stars, and fucking ancient aliens" it's so sad :( they were the main reason I got interested in history. The "boring, dry, informative" documentaries they used to do :/ it makes me so sad. Thank God for folks like you and YT for putting this quality content up for everyone's consumption! 😁😁😁

@@jacobtennyson9213 "But those who confess that God from heaven has become incarnate from the Virgin and is one with the flesh cause unnecessary confusion by carrying the godless words of the Samosateans. For also these people say, as I hear, that there are two natures, even though John clearly shows that the Lord is one when he says, "The Word became flesh" (Jn 1:14). Paul does the same when he says, "There is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things" (1 Cor 8:6). For if the one born of the holy Virgin was named "one" and it is he "through whom all things" have been made, then there is one nature. According to the incarnation the body did not have its own nature nor the deity its own nature, for one person does not have two divisions. But just as man has one nature, so also does Christ because he was made in the likeness of men (Phil 2:7)." - Julius the most holy Bishop of Rome, from Letter to Dionysius, section 2 "B. In that case both natures must have been confused, and have become one. A. But who would be so misguided and stupid as to think that the divine nature of the Word had changed into something which formerly it was not? or that the flesh was changed by some kind of transformation into the nature of the Word himself? This is impossible. We say that there is one Son, and that he has one nature even when he is considered as having assumed flesh endowed with a rational soul. As I have already said, he has made the human element his own. And this is the way, not otherwise, that we must consider that the same one is at once God and man." - St Cyril of Alexandria, from On The Unity Of Christ, page 77 Looks like the entire church befoe Chalcedon were heretics womp womp.

@@jacobtennyson9213 The Word took flesh from Mary uniting with a human body endowed with rational soul. God tasted death on the cross according to the flesh. That's your problem if you disagree with that.

Tribute to the Heritage of Father Jacob Bardeus, and his Miaphysite faith, from a Fellow Miaphysite Christian from India 🇮🇳 ✝️, although now i dont believe these small differences matter our faith...we are only Christians, the only name that Bible gave us...not Chalcedonian or Miaphysite or Nestorian.

@@basilk5072 I used to watch his videos out of curiosity until he misrepresented the Armenian deacon and the Oriental Orthodox position. He was being two faced saying one thing off camera and another on camera, I don't find people like that credible at all, so I stopped watching his videos. He was also putting words about things we don't believe but at some video's he agrees with our position but just thinks the Chalcedonian definition is better (his bias but sure). Overall I don't think he has studied the position well enough even though he claims he did. He also claims to follow the E.P and then contradicts his actions and hospitality of reunion with both O.O and Catholics, which is quite strange. (I don't find him credible at all sorry!, Informative yes just not credible) .
