Jacob's Ladder

This is a high voltage "Jacob's Ladder" I built for for my daughter, who's an 8th grade science teacher, to use in her classroom. It's the classic mad scientist prop, perfectly suited to her teaching style. Powered by an old furnace ignition transformer, it uses brass rods for the electrodes which are protected by a polycarbonate tube, and the whole thing is mounted in/on a wooden box.
