There are malaria endemic zones in Kenya, and Nairobi is not one of them, probably why you didn't see many mosquitoes. However, if you ever decide to explore the coastal and western areas, I would not recommend ditching the antimalarials 😅 People who live in those zones have developed immunity, but even Kenyans (like me) who live in Nairobi and then travel to those areas are not safe and very often come home with the disease 😅 Another thing to note is that malaria has a pretty long incubation period, and I've seen people develop symptoms even 3+ weeks after leaving the malaria zone. So always suspect it if you develop a fever a while later. Okay my health lesson is over. Glad you enjoyed Kenya!

The biggest threat wildlife in Kenya is facing is the current Kenyan regime headed by President William Ruto. The current regime is cutting down trees and destroying wildlife habitat at the highest rate ever recorded in human history. I am afraid that you might not find the greenery you have seen or the animals next time you come back if this regime is not stopped.
