I think someone mentioned it but the song was written by Aaron Dessner and Taylor. Robin is Aaron's son and the song is talking about this child that they are protecting from the world and trying to maintain his innocence the longer they can you can tell by the way she is writing about this whimsical thing that is childhood and how the kid is a ruler amongst his pet animals and dinosaurs, covered in mud, who has a favorite spot on the swing set and dragonflies lights above his bed. This one is one of my favorites from the anthology.

This is my absolute favorite on The Anthology and easily in my top 3 of all 31 songs. I don’t understand the negative reactions out there, but I love it anyway, so I don’t care what negative people think about it. I believe it is about a child. You can also hear some Travis Kelce references: tiger, dragonflies, etc. I won’t go into all that, but there are a lot of theories online. I guess the song can be about many things. For me, it’s about my little boy. He’s 3, and my mind went directly to him. ❤ Also, this song is the second time I cried after hearing a Taylor Swift song. The first was Peter. 🥺

Love her vocals on this too. Have you done a reaction to, Exile, a duet with Taylor, and Bon Iver's. lead singer, Justin Vernon. The Long Pond Session video of Exile, is the BEST!
