This songs makes me cry. It’s a beautiful summary of her life, the reason for her music, the impact it has had on so many people. And as she ends the album, she leaves The Manuscript as a gift for her fans to “read”.

It's Taylor looking back at all her past relationships and experiences and the manuscript is her entire discography. The story isn't mine anymore as in it's ours now, the fans who can put ourselves in these songs and relate to them.

The Manuscript is taylor swifts discography. In the somg shes looking back at a past relationship and her life as a song writer. When she lokks at what she created she realises that all herpast experiences including the bad ones helpes create what she has. And the Manuscript is bo longer hers because she given the songs to us. Theyre ours. This album was full of agony but after listening to this song i can imagine taylor swift almost clising a draw on all these feelings and being over all the pain amd that is why it is a wonderful and quite hopeful ending to this album. Thanks for your content. I appreciated hearing a rdview from a production perspective too as im not knowledgeable in that area. Thank you again.

This song is also solely self-written! I think it is looking back at her past relationships and her discography is 'The Manuscript'. I think it also specifically refers to the Red era, I believe Jake Gyllenhaal is who she is talking about in the lines 'in the age of him, she wished she was thirty', and she's referencing the making of the 'All too well' short film when she talks about the actors hitting their marks.

"In the age of him, she wished she was thirty" I think refers to Taylor being much younger than someone she might have dated in her past and wishing, at that time, that she had been older, closer to his age. It sounds like "The Manuscript" is an overview of a compilation of several relationships.

“The age of him” I take it as the time she was dating the person. I kind of get it being her looking back at her old relationships and essentially closing that “chapter”.

Loved the reaction! The Manuscript is such a good song! While I like to stay on topic when commenting a video, I have to say something else real quick: The girl group (G)I-DLE is releasing their new EP "I Sway" on July 8th with the main single called "Klaxon". All their songs are written, composed AND produced by the members and they're super involved in everything regarding their art. Man, if you can perceive such details in the production of the songs you react to, why have you never reacted to anything by Lana Del Rey? I don't know if you know her work, but she's like the queen in this place, because she's literally involved in the production of her music beyond the lyrics. Go react to Norman F Rockwell! or her last album released last year... It's impressive! It's like a drug! It's addictive!

TTPD has quickly made it’s way to one of my favourites from her. And this song is the perfect closer. She has done a few on the songs on guitar or piano live but some of them she has mashed up with other songs aswell. Here are to from the second half that in my opinion is still nicely filmed.
