Well I love my Linx 4.5mm 10k D/C Frano chain. I was never into Franco before and even thought I'd be opposed to D/C, but I love this thing so much! Even thought at one point I might want larger/heavier, but no, it's perfect! Much love!

This is what I think about resale when it's time for us to sell our piece to a jeweler they charge us scrap price for it and then that company charges the consumer the price they want most of the time 60% for what they bought it for and leaving us with 40% of what we've paid for. In all regards to this, the consumer always gets screwed because they can't profit from their gold once they need to resell it.

Ever since I started buying gold jewelry in the early days of jacoje, I always felt a punch to the gut when I went to resale my jewelry. I would always lose out on some money whenever resale time would come around, and I was looking to get into another jewelry piece. Now that linx is up and going, I dipped into the pre owned side of jewelry and I'm loving it! The quality is there , without having the brand new price tag! Thank yall for opening up Linx, and also still doing these giveaways. James R. Corpus christi, Tx

Why would you buy jewelry to resell that’s your faulty buddy
@RGee9321 күн бұрын
I’ve owned and sold a few of my chains at spot to Local shop and all I’ve felt was the dummy tax of things… First would be when purchasing a chain, you’re paying the spot plus mark up to keep food on the sellers table, then if you sell it, the buyer tends to buy it at melt value or a few dollars less which means you may be taking a loss on your chain. Moving forward I’ll be buying for sentimental reasons, achievements in life, milestones, a birthday gift to myself as now I’ll have emotional attachment to my pieces. I am definitely open to second hand as long as they’re in good condition. Ronnie G Maui, HI

I believe LINX was a great addition to Jacoje bc it gives a chance for everyone to buy chains and enjoy them. Being able to trust LINX for quality jewelry makes it easier then to go to pawnshops so used or new LINX was a blessing. Sebastian A, Wilson, NC

honestly i think the main reason people dont resell is because they pay too much over the spot price of gold so they see themselves selling the gold chains as a loss, personally i bought my chains when 14k gold was $45 a gram, i would bearly get my money back, but to buy the same gram weight chain i would have to put more money upfront. right now since gold is selling at 70+ a gram i would buy a used chain if i can get a good deal on it, most of the time chains just need a good cleaning and in extreme cases a polish, i would love that 5mm rope was planning on upgrading my 4mm would be a huge W for me thank you braden and raquel. Happy holidays, I think resale is a great idea and it's a practice that's been done for many years and I'm glad that a reputable company like yourself has now gone in business. I was actually looking at your website the other day and was really impressed with your inventory, currently looking for a small pendent for my Franco 2.5 that I bought from you and have no issues if it's new or used as long as the quality and craftsmanship is there. I initially bought the Franco chain to pass onto my daughter when she gets older, so from her perspective, I'm sure she won't care whether the pendant is used or not, since the emotional attachment will be far greater. I like how you guys describe the product and just tell the people how it looks if it’s in good condition or it looks dull on the end caps, most jewelers would just try to say it’s like brand new very shiny and then you get it you are disappointed.thank you guys for everything you do👍 Andrew M Ontario, CA

Glad LINX is doing so well. Definitely something in the past few years in your videos you always said we do not sell used products and then you jumped into the deep end and started LINX. You do need to have both in the same spot or very close to save your time as time is money. My take on selling my jewellery is hard, I buy to keep forever bit as time goes on and you learn more and your confidence grows in wearing larger chains or different types then with the cost of gold always going up you can get some $$ back to put into a new chain or bracelet. If it’s older sometimes you can get back what you paid for it or even make a profit. Everyone loves a rope chain and that 5mm is a great everyday item to add to my collection. Jeff G Medway MA

reselling jeweley is always a great option down the line especially with your potential styles changing overtime and with gold rising you could make a little money if your in a pinch. Theres the jewelry I would never sell and theres the jewelry that im not going to be too sad to let go. Sometimes I like to gift/ sell my jewelry to my peers just because I can watch them wear it overtime and see it become a part of them. There are pieces of jewelery that are passed down through generations and generations with so much value and its always fun to potentially be part of that lore while selling/gifting jewelry. Reselling jewelry is such a great option for all. Someone might not be able to afford that brand new piece and might come across it used or at a discounted price or someone wanting to upgrade their jewelry and needing to sell that piece to upgrade to the new piece. I actually received a 24” rope as a gift and it was used bought from a reseller and come to find out it was a Jacoje rope which is what I was looking to get but then I had to sell it years later to get me out of a bad time I was going through which I regret doing because I had to get rid of it and would always get so many compliments but thankful I was such a great piece that it did hold its value and was able to help me out of the situation by being able to resell it

Hey gang! To me resale/preowned is all dependent on the quality and the shape it’s in. If it’s still got a good finish and it’s sturdy, I’m all about it. I like how you guys do videos about reconditioning pieces you are selling on Linx so we can see that process because it instills that much more trust in the brand. I have a few Jacoje pieces I love, and I don’t think I would sell them. Domestic is great, but quality is king for me, and everyone has different priorities. That’s part of the fun. I like complimenting people on their chains because then I get to see how much they actually know about what they have around their neck- sometimes I get to drop some ‘Jacoje knowledge’ on them and spread the word a bit. Always happy to do it 🙏. I would love to layer that domestic 5mm with my Jacoje 4mm. Much love, Sam H Anoka, MN

Definitely in favor of resell. It is the beauty in buying gold is that it holds its value. Whether to help you out in a pinch, or to give that boost towards an upgrade, resell is paramount in the gold/jewelry industry. Also, I would buy used if it is the right piece, from a reputable dealer such as Linx. Thats another beautiful thing about gold/jewelry, a good cleaning or even polishing, and gold pieces can be restored. Also family heirlooms, etc are literally used pieces but still hold value both sentimental and monetary. Happy Holidays! Ray M Louisville, KY

I think resale of jewelry is AWESOME because it’s cheaper for people that can’t afford brand new jewelry…and it’s still gold it doesn’t lose its value in my opinion so it’s nice to be able to buy used jewelry at a better price. Selling can be cool too especially if people need money for something quick it’s nice to have a brand that will buy it instead of trying to sell it yourself online or getting ripped off at a pawn shop etc Ernie s Oceanside, CA

I always regret selling my jewelry! Whether I’m tight on cash or upgrading to something better, I always feel sad if I don’t at least break even. This is why I try to hold any jewelry for at least a couple years so that hopefully gold keeps going up in value and I could get back what I spent. With that being said, this is where the investment side of jewelry comes in. It’s not like clothing, we can wear jewelry for years and still get some cash back in the end. I like buying used jewelry because that is where the deals are at, as long as the quality is there then it is soooo worth it. I got my mom a 1.5mm Franco from LINX this year for her bday/christmas and it legit looks brand new, and I got a sweet deal for it! I think your endeavor into Linx is a fantastic idea. The secondary market is vital to the Jewelry market as a whole. Many people do buy a piece of jewelry and then later sell it back to get something else they want. I, however do not. Each piece of Jewelry I have slowly acquired over the years has sentimental value to me and I never sell. Right now, new pieces of Jewelry are out of my budget but I absolutely would buy used if I liked the piece. The resale community has taken over most of the world. It’s not some hobby we thought it was when our parents were doing it back then, but an investment with endless possibilities. As the transaction is going on, you value the product to see it for what it is now and what it can be worth later. Gold is an investment, not just an outfit accessory. But, time to time you come across that one good gem that holds value and is hard to sale or get. As for myself, I have purchased both new and used jewelry. The new jewelry I hold for long term. Something nice that I can pass down to my children. For the used gold I buy it for 3 reasons. For upgrading, quick cash, and for bargaining. Just in case the world goes upside down…😊 but yeah I like it and don’t mind it.. Man, I love this time of year. Thanks again and Stay golden… German F. Los Angeles, Ca..

Omg. The 22inch rope. My favourite. Pre owned jewellery I would definitely buy. Gold is gold and as long as the item is cleaned, polished and in good condition, I am in. I've also sold gold rings I've had back in the day when times were hard. I always regretted it (which unfortunately is true) as I was never able to find the same pieces again... I did get back my money but since then gold has gone up 10fold in value. Linx is invaluable in today's market as the demand for jewellery has never really swayed but cost of gold these days is very high. Love a bargain. 22inch 5mm rope. Heaven. Keep up the good work. ❤🙏

I’d definitely be open to buying used jewelry based on the condition of that jewelry. Linx does a fantastic job with refurbishing and getting their used pieces to looking like brand new pieces. This is a big difference compared to pawn shops and other companies that buy and resell used jewelry. And the item description that links adds for that piece of jewelry is always icing on the cake. Yes these ropes may be domestic however the shine and quality stands out drastically just like the Peru made ropes. Always wanted a rope due to the style and that diamond cut shine factor. My thoughts on resell is a great oppertunity to buy a resold peice for a little less $$ and still have the a wonderful piece. I have sold gold before to pawn shops and metal refiners but the problem with that is they dont give u alot for the items. Having a place to sell your jewlery like Linx helps out because we could get a good price return for whether its for cost of living like bills or an emergancy situation that happens to come about or wheather you want to sell a piece for that chain upgrade and get a bigger chain. I resell sneakers alot and always make a profit but with the jewelry I take a lost even when buying the jewelry when the price of gold was cheaper then now it still don't seem fair it's better for me to keep the jewelry or sell it to someone who is interested as far as used jewelry i brought my first used chain last week from links a 3mm franco 24" I think the price was pretty fair and I can not tell any difference between that used franco and my jacoje franco I will definitely buy use jewelry again if the quality is good and the price is very reasonable Guiles . My husband and I love LINX! We even recommend our family to purchase from there as theres amazing prices and steals! But yes i'm very for resaleing jewelry, because styles change and maybe what we could afford back then isn't what we want anymore and may want to upgrade as my husband and I do 😊 & We don't mind buying pre owned jewelry but we would worry about the authenticy and if the sellers would be selling what was actually listed, but with LINX we don't have to worry because braden and raquel have all the devices to check the jewlery to make sure the diamonds and gold are 100% legit so thats takes all the worry away and gives comfort in knowing you will get exactly what your expecting in gold, weight and diamonds 🙏🏻 thank you guys for ur hard work! It doesnt go unnoticed! Destiny R San Jacinto Ca

My opinion on resale is high. I think it just depends on the sellers reputation. For example I was never into buying used stuff but gold was always so expensive after about 2 to 3 years of waiting to buy a gold rope chain my younger brother who loves gold and has been for years, sent me a link for a 4mm 22” Peru 14k Gold Rope chain on Linxresale. After watching a few KZbin videos like this one from Jacoje, I decided to buy it. The posting indicated that the chain was in mint condition and and two quick days after I purchased it it arrived to my house. The chain was flawless and looked pretty much brand new. I have had the chain for two weeks now and I definitely can say my confidence has boosted and it’s everything I’ve ever wanted from a goal chain considering I’ve been searching for years now for the right one. Because of Linxresale, I would definitely buy a resale chain again but to be quite honest, I’m only buying from Linxresale.

Howz it Jacoje / Lynx fam, Just wanted to start off by saying a big MAHALO! for keeping it 💯 on everything you guys do running Jacoje and giving us Lynx as another option. As for me personally pre owned jewelry is a good way to get started and also a good way too work your way up to what you really want because at the end of the day gold is gold, and you work hard for what you want. That’s why I’m grateful to see Lynx in action still giving the people quality jewelry at affordable prices. And there’s nothing wrong with resale it’s just business. Buy what you can afford and what’s going to make you happy. Another man’s treasure is another man’s gold! Happy Holidays 🤙🏽 Brennan R Mililani Hi

Personally, I would 100% buy used jewelry. Would never sell my jewelry unless I completely never wore the piece or absolutely needed the money for an emergency or something like that. I think if you buy and resale then buy and resale, you will eventually never build up a nice collection to be handed down to kids and family and the money will also diminish (unless you sell your pieces for the exact same price or higher than you bought them for over the years). That’s just my take and opinion about it. Hope everyone is well and ready for the holidays! Cheers!🍻 Alejandro C. Charlotte NC

The resale is a great way to barter for something else in value, I see having any gold piece as a future investment and a way to get you out of a situation. The plan is to pass down from generation to generation. Gold is Gold. So resealing is essential, you are in a way using gold as currency again! Putting it in circulation, nothing wrong with acquiring loved jewelry. At the end of the day the piece has GOLD there is always value! Josh A AL

From one Braden to another & one business man to another, why on earth would you put yourself and the business through that kind of commute. It’s gold we’re not selling cars. Move it into the same building and keep it simple and cost effective. Merry Xmas Yao the Jacobe crew! Oh the question, I’ve bought new gold jewelry and sold. I’ve bought and tucked in the safe as well as a store of value. I prefer the second option but I have also used it to barter when moving into a different peace of jewelry for myself or the Mrs. That’s the beautiful thing about gold, no matter what you have a store of wealth & with that comes options! I don’t think I’d buy secondhand jewelry unless vintage. If I did buy say a modern pre owned gold chain I would want it as close to spot as possible. I think keeping prices as close to spot while still making a profit and focusing on volume more than margin would be a good business model. Pre owned and moderate to high mark up likely, wouldn’t make sense. That said, ie been wrong before & will most certainly be wrong again. Happy holidays! ✌🤙

The rope chain is my absolute favorite chain out there, there’s simply no other chain that shines the way it does and it is also very versatile and can be paired with a pendant, worn solitaire or stacked. My late grandfather used to wear a rope chain and that just proves what a timeless piece it is and it would mean so much for me to win this piece! I think resale of jewelry is awesome. My first gold chain I purchased was a resale piece actually and I think it is a great option. I’d love to hand down gold pieces to each one of my 3 sons one day as well. Thanks for all you guys do! Reselling jewelry is awesome because it allows you the opportunity to upgrade a piece you weren’t able to obtain at the time but settled for something or sell a piece you might have grown apart from that someone else might appreciate wear and value, my 30th birthday is coming in 5 days it would be awesome to enter my 3rd decade with a top quality piece like a jacoje chain Julio R Elmhurst NY

I've never sold jewelry as I feel most of my pieces have been gifts or have unluckily broke on me, however I feel selling jewelry is good as gold is a great investment and has withstood time so if necessary or in hopes to get a different piece on a budget I'm all for selling jewelry. Would I buy used jewelry? Of course I feel buying used jewelry is a great way to get a nice piece for a bargain on top of possibly getting a unique piece someone no longer wanted that you find nice I actually had this experience when I went to a local pawnshop. Buying used jewelry I feel is also great way for someone interested in gold jewelry but not quite sure to get their feet in the water too. I think the only downside is obviously not being able to get anything custom. Love what you're doing Jacoje and you got this with LINX.

It’s tough for me to say because I would love to resell my chain to upgrade to a bigger piece or a higher quality piece. Being able to buy used chains is a blessing for some that can’t afford brand new jewelry though! One of my chains isn’t jacoje so I would like to resell that to of course upgrade to a bigger jacoje piece because I’ve always appreciated the quality and service your company provides. My chain is sentimental to me and I hope to pass it to my children one day which is the main reason I don’t really want to sell it. I’d probably just save up for a new chain and purchase it that way which is what I’m trying to do. I would personally buy pre owned jewellery as long as it looked new I don’t see why not because it’s new to me haha. Keep up the hard work throughout the holidays guys! Take care. I think resell is a great way to get jewelry of different tastes and trends. Some people like the jewelry style of the "older" days, like Run DMC's big bulky rope chain. I personally love the rope chain look and I wouldn't mind owning a piece of pre-owned jewelry. As far as reselling, I would only resell jewelry that I no longer have the taste for but I think the rope chain is a chain that will stay in style for a really long time. Ruben M Los Angeles, Ca

Personally I think buying pre owned jewelry is a great way too go. I much rather save money with pre owned than stepping down to silver or plated jewelry. Lots of jewelry has been melted down and made from a previous chain/piece anyway and I find older jewelry has a really nice look. I’m fortunate enough to have been passed down a chain from my father that was my grandpas before him and I know no matter how tough my situation is I would never sell it, way too much sentimental value. If I had other jewelry laying around I would probably sell only if I really needed the money and would definitely try to sell at high prices like the ones we are seeing now. I feel like gold jewellery is more to enjoy and pass down to generations rather than selling just because gold went up. Congrats to all the winners so far, love from Canada🍁 Anton I Ontario Canada

I personally think resellling jewelry is always a good look. The business and or end consumer purchasing your used jewelry can get a good deal. I will say that when you resell your jewelry people need to understand that you're not going to get the exact amount of money that you paid when you first buy the piece and youve got to understand the purchase price has labor/import tax charges added into the equation. I have also personally sold some of my jewelry and I was completely nieve and thought oh im gonna get exactly what i paid for the piece when i bought it when i resell and i was actually upset when i heard what they offered me but I was young and dumb lol. I understand now that when a company chooses to buy your used jewelry theyre basically buying the said piece for gold weight/purity. They don't factor in any of the import fees and or labor costs because it's a used piece. In recap reslling used jewelry is definitely a thriving business and there's no problem with that. People fall on hard times and or stuff comes up in life when they least expect it and they've gotta let a piece or two go to make ends meet and that's ok. Just remember jewelry and possessions are attainable again. Sending love from ILLINOIS Jacoje fam!!! John K Springfield, IL

First off, I want to say congrats to my fellow New Mexican Burqueño on winning that gold chain from Jacoje! I'm finally glad to hear New Mexico being mentioned by you guys! No matter if the gold chain is from Jacoje or Linx, I would be blessed to win one. Italian-made, Peru-made, or domestic made, I believe the quality is more important aside from the gram weight and the gold purity depending on which it is, from 10kt all the way to 22kt or 24kt gold. "Linx." I love that name! It rhymes with "Binx" which is the name of my rescue black cat, who i adore so much. I wouldn't mind buying a used gold bracelet or anklet chain for him to wear as a collar. He's now an indoor cat as he is now in his elderly years so its perfect. Okay back to the subject of reselling and used gold chains. Would I resell pieces? That's a hard question because it's a double-edged sword. Meaning it will help you financially, but only temporarily. No matter the gold (or silver) price, a piece is forever because it could have sentimental value or it could be a heirloom. So to answer my own question, unless it's a very "dire" situation, I would not. I most definitely would buy used gold chains, because as a jeweler myself, I can clean them up and polish them to make them appear like new again. Broken chains would either be repaired if it's financially viable, or they can be recycled as gold scrap. After all there is gold content no matter the purity and mixtures of alloys. That's my take on it. Shawn S. Zuni, New Mexico

I generally have no problem with people reselling their gold jewelry. Everybody usually has a reason for wanting to buy jewlrey so it only makes sense that those same people may have their reasons for wanting/needing to sell it. As for buying used jewlrey I’m kinda neutral in the sense that I love the idea of being able to save a ton of money when opting to buy preowned but on the other hand it does cross my mind of what/where the jewlrey has been through with its original owner. I would definitely purchase "used" Jewelery. I am a watch nut, so I have bought used and sold my watches for many years. I think as long as the integrity of whatever it is is still present, then it is a buy. Missing yellow gold in my repertoire, so this rope would be an awesome prize. Jason M. Elgin, IL

I think resale jewelry can be a great option, especially if you’re looking for unique, vintage pieces or something with character. It’s often more affordable than buying new, and I like the idea of giving something a second life. That said, I’d probably want to make sure it’s in good condition and authentic, especially for higher-end items. There’s also something cool about wearing a piece that has its own history. I would definitely buy second hand gold bc at the end of the day it still has tremendous value for what quality you can receive. Reuben M Denver Co

I would only sell my jewelry if I was in a pinch financially. But that’s the beauty of investing in gold as an accessory vs a generic “designer” good imo! The resale value on textiles or name brand items in general goes down immediately upon walking out of the store, whereas if you splurge on gold you haven’t lowered your net worth. I listed my gold items in my mortgage application for assets! Being able to leverage the potential to even sell them for their value is awesome. In regards to buying used gold - totally OK with that, but similar to buying new - I’d have to trust the seller big time. :) Tristan F Mississauga ON Canada

⭐️ NO HATE ON THE REBATE! Jewelry passed down has sentimental value to me but if I buy a chain myself it doesn’t have that sentimental aspect, although it’s still very valuable to me. As we grow or get deeper into the lifestyle of wearing jewelry I thinks it’s normal to have your taste change. Thats the beautiful thing about gold, it will ALWAYS have value and be worth its weight so why not apply that towards a new style you want to try? I think that’s one of the coolest things about jewelry! Thanks guys! Rodney T. Lincoln, CA

I think there's probably a market for used jewelry especially if you have a bunch of customers over the years who've bought jewelry they no longer wear. It allows you to resale the product to customers who know the product and what they want. It becomes a little riskier and time consuming when you're dealing with other brands of unknown quality. Personally, I am not looking to be parted with any of my pieces yet but maybe one day. I definitely agree with the move to bring linx closer to jacoje. The commute alone is probably draining you guys. Kosta H Montreal QC Canada

I can't see myself selling my jewelry but I am just starting so maybe to upgrade to a bigger piece it makes sense or times truly did get that tough it's a last option. But buying pre-owned jewelry as long as it's in good condition is a win win. I can't imagine anyone wants to sell their precious pieces just for them to be melted. I would be pre-owned jewelry from a reputable company because it helps save on a quality piece. Which goes hand in hand with selling your used jewelry making a market for those who can’t afford new and providing some cash for a new piece to the seller who’s selling what they no longer wear. I have pieces I love and buy to keep and pieces I buy at a great deal for the resale value alone as well. Andrew D- Terryville Connecticut
