is it weird I always relate to anything Jacque says or think the similar way? I'm so saddened by his death, I knew it would come sooner than later. now I feel like I have to study and lead a similar life as he, since he's given me more insight on why I am like I am. it's not like it's hard to understand his logic and reasoning it's just you don't think of it as often because of obviously the environment your brought up in. but if I can make myself study similar topics he mentions or talks about then maybe I can help influence culture around me and make the world a better place. rip Jacque, you inspired me and always will. Venus project will happen. & thank you Roxanne & whoever runs this channel. hope to visit you guys in Florida some day.

We call for a straightforward approach to the redesign of a culture, in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt, environmental degradation and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable, but totally unacceptable. The Venus Project is a veritable blueprint for the genesis of a new world civilization, one that is based on human concern and environmental reclamation. One fundamental premise is that we work towards having all of the Earth’s resources as the common heritage of all the world’s people. Anything less will simply result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in the present system.

Yes me too. I first realized that scarcity created aberrant behavior when I saw Geese pecking each others throats to stop them swallowing when the bread on the ground was dwindling. There is a video on You tube where a Spider in distress with dust on its feet becomes sedate once it realises the human was removing it carefully. And the zoologist who pets/strokes sharks she removed hooks from who clearly show pleasurable mechanisms.. yet humans STILL treat them as monsters as a result of Jaws 1975. Our values are all screwed up.
@acegriessen
@acegriessen 2 жыл бұрын
@@therealKINDLEi agree so much with what you say. The sharks thing especially. Everyone fear sharks because of hollywood. While its at most 5 shark related deaths a year worldwide while millions in the water (dogs, horses, snakes, mosquitos, thunder all more). And humans kill roughly 200 million sharks a year. yes so only thing we can do is share and discuss. It will take a long time or a big catastrophy before we will get anywhere near jacque's vision. It Takes many drops of water to create a tsunami wave, yet they still contain all those drops. You are that drop, i am, thats 2 already 😉 Until that time... we will find eachother here.

@desredmon well stated, because few seem to look at things from the point of view that it is one's own 'value system' in appraising a situation. But i think you misunderstand key points. It isn't to ignore the past or a threat-it's HOW we respond that will determine if we attain a short term personal gain, or a long term improvement in society. Jacque speaks about punitive methods as insufficient in dealing with the causes. We should ask what CONDITIONS made the 'crime' ?

You don't seem to understand what Fresco is saying. Robing a store is something someone does for a reason behind some other reason, it's more complicated than just an "evil" person that robs a store, just because that's why the way it is. I'll try to get this simple: If there are no bank robberies, then there is no reason for police to exist. If a man is fed and housed and educated for free, then there is no reason to steal anything. Think about it.

The greatest shame is that there are more views for trivial videos that do not relate to the crisis' of the world as does these videos. People like to remain ignorant to things that are true as they see bliss in doing so, however ignorance never solved anything nor does politics. Great stuff, Jacque. Been learning a lot through these videos and I thank you for that.

Rare for someone to speak on with wisdom as his agenda. Wisdom = To teach/learn the value of life. He does it in a way that it can allow you to be like him, become wise, if you just watch his videos over and over again. It takes repetition for our culturally forgettable mind to actually adapt to what the mind use to be. He had it good to learn while also able to talk to the people (he even talked to Einstein and WW1 people), so his repetition was experience. Eventually everyone will learn right

The very concept of "Attack" implies a difference in interests and the failure of what we call communication today (if we talk about human society) Jacque Talks about TESTING even your values, given the premise of well being for all mankind Punishment is just a factor that exists in this paradigm (today). How can you improve anything if you don't fail in the first place... even so we need to consider the consequence of our failures in the future.. and get to the ROOT of the problem.

"does not make a judgment until verifiable"... 'we' (in our capacities) need to make such a value system favorable to most (all) people, by making such an environment available for others to evaluate it (if they are unaware), without 'any' feeling of causticity or threat... it's a failure when we forget that 'all' the core inventions were 'made' possible when people worked under such a value system (by natural laws), it's time society adopts it. Also, Jacque Fresco deserves a chance he needs...

@MasAppealTheGreat We certainly need a survey to know exactly how many people can live on this planet, but we're constantly changing the earth's capacity by building new things. Jacque said that we could build cities in the sea and under the ground - and there's a lot of space - so I think we could increase the population with his cities and not diminish it. And maybe in future we could colonize other planets and encrease our population even more, but maybe this is too futuristic for now...

i think if you study communication in general you will not learn his kind of thinking; but if you study behavior, semantics, and the mechanistic conception of life (the old books) you may get a little closer to what he's talking about. But only if you get enough of a primer from Jacque of what's relevant or not within those fields/books..and even then it's pretty rough.

+Dr Quantum I think we base our thinking on believes. The value system is especially made of believes that we learned from our environment. The only way to leave these believes to get closer from the truth is to accept the idea that they may be wrong. I think the large majority of misunderstanding between humans are coming from different views of a reality biased by believes of each one. If we accept to leave our believes, we'll see that we are all thinking the same way. This is what we need to keep in mind to unite people. J.Fresco says that everything is determined by environment. I don't agree with that, there is something more in humanity : the ability to call into question ("remettre en cause", in french) our believes.

I was using the robber metaphorically. I was actually thinking of Bin Laden. If you seek to change the causal factors that must be done before they are set into the value system. Or via the public display of consequence. If the cost of a value is to high it will be lost. Once someone has begun to harm at will, stopping them is necessary. Cessation of a negative value and the cause must go hand in hand. Reduction in cause without cessation is no more effective than punishment alone.

@desredmon I think that based on the situation, if your life is threatened, you must defend or run away. Because you die and this deprives of your right of survival. If your grandchildren are raped, you know that will definitely cause mental and physical damage to your grandchildren, that deprives of your grandchildren's necessity of life, then you act to prevent it. Also, if the situation is avaliable, you should talk to that man, that man acts based on his past experiences

So I may be a bit confused but the video seems to say: Ignore the past, ignore the stated threat Accept and do not resist attacks Because to resist attack or god forbid promote a more enlightened value system would condemn that value system... And any value system that contains a punishment system is intrinsically bad? If a man robs a store you are at with your grandchildren you should be ok with the man raping and killing your grandchildren. My value system would have me defend mine.

For instance : Let's say you have some kids, and you want to give them a proper education. The environment is crawling with christians, mormons, etc. How can one simply not interfere ? You share the same city, same politicians, everything. Does it make sense to be different in opinions ? How can such a society evolve ?
