Simon Porte Jacquemus-- means Simon wears Jacquemus- that ..is...his..actual...name... Also, what really sets him apart is that he doesn't cater for an american audience, he knows and respects his international customers while really staying true to his french nationality, his ss 17 collection is basically a high fashion version of traditional south of france agricultural clothing. With his aw 18 collection he gave an homage to the richness and influence that moroccan culture has had on france, without it being culture appreciation--no ambiguity there whatsoever. He is unlike any designer out there and isn't trying to be "the new" anything. tbh i kinda hope he doesn't get so much attention that all the rich white kids want to dress from him, because that's not his brand and i don't want it to be corrupted by people who just buy in the trends. His design shouldn't become trends. ps: Simon is pronounced like Simon, Jacquemus is pronounced ja-chm-u.

I think he could have incorporated some heavier fabrics that are still sexy think cashmere and silk charmuse (spelling)? Jacquemus buyer here! A bit of an insight: His short dresses are so short.. Like, SO SHORT. Have that into account if you are thinking about buying. Im 1,64cm and use a FR34 sometimes even a 32 and I had to size up to a 36 because the dress didn't cover my butt! Really transparent too. Love the dress though. As for the bags, I bought the Le Baya large and was really disappointed. It's so big I could fit inside the bag, like really... HUGE. Also, not a really well though out design. The bottom isn't sturdy enough and as you put something in it, it just bends down. It makes the bag lose it's really structured beautiful shape. Not worth 1000+ euros. Still love the brand. So chic and laidback!!

La bomba is definitely the words I’d use to describe most of his collections as well! Jacquemus could pass as a fucking supermodel in one of his own shows - I’m still patiently waiting for the day he shakes up traditional menswear. Nothing has given me more life this season (or a #fashgasm) as much as LA-BOMBA and #Jacquemus has! His work is fresh, sexy, uncompromising and just a breath of fresh air in a world filled with commercial viability. The clothes just make you want to abandon all cares and hop on a jet to Mykonos! That being said, he is supremely good-looking but seems to have the same vibe as a golden retriever ( me thinks it's the eyes) meaning he seems genuine, down to earth and trust worthy - making him even hotter!
