Just wanted to add this in: One of the biggest mistakes people make with moves like the "pan tilt follow" is rushing the end. It takes a lot of body control to get through those shots, and there's a tendency to speed up toward the end. Try to fight that urge unless the shot demands an increase in camera movement speed.

Thanks Alex! That's a good question! I made a whole tutorial about it which you can watch here kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3jKhoaMoK2Wea8 but in short: I use Wide Mode with Eye Autofocus when I'm shooting a person (where they eye is visible). On some shots I enable the tracking feature to stay on a subject where I can't see the eye and then some shots are just a little hit & miss in wide mode but it helps to keep your main subject in the centre and shooting wide open actually helps to create "contrast" between your subject & the background giving me better results with the focus.

Thank you so much for your efforts… As this video is all about gimbal moves there is not much information reg video specs, Not only the content, video quality is great… We are expecting a dedicated video on details about camera settings reg bitrates, log information, exposure settings, resolution Coz your videos look cinematic…

@@jacques_crafford I just appreciate the effort you put into your videos and the knowledge you share. Got my a7iv a couple days ago and the image out of it is astounding. I prefer it over the Lumix s5 expect the s5 over all build quality is way better. I know you've worked with the a7iv previously and I don't know if youve noticed that the camera is rather jittery when panning. Ive tried with stabilisation on and off but its still there. Any advice for smoother footage I don't think its a stabilisation issue its more like its skipping a frame every now and then
