Hey Brian, I want to tell you your videos have been very helpful. Last fall I was looking at less expensive tubs and after watching one of your reviews on the Dr. Wellness hot tub, we made our decision and purchased a Marquis with Balboa electrictronics in February. It is a promo tub, with few choices, but the features it does include, the quality and price were right for our first tub and it's arriving today! Thank you again and keep up the good work! Steve in Denver, CO.

Jacuzzi now sells an "extreme cold weather" :add on" for about $700. The cover is upgraded and it also includes more insulation supposedly. Is it worth it in a northern USA environment? Is there any benchmark or site that explains the benefits outside of the paragraph that Jacuzzi has on their own website? Will it pay for itself in a more extreme climate?

Good afternoon, I would add it if you get below freezing temperatures frequently. Otherwise, it comes very well insulated already from the factory. Hope this helps!

Great overview of this spa! Thank you. Quick question ... we are purchasing one from a close friend (they aren't using it). It's in great shape for sure. Can we convert this spa from chlorine to bromine? Again ... thanks for the quick overall on the spa.

Just curious how is the insulation in the new 200 series compared to the 300. I just ordered a j-215 and am scared the insulation might be lacking for my Canadian winters. Thanks!
@atlantahottubcenterАй бұрын
Good afternoon, you shouldn't have any issues with the 200 or 300 series. However, I would set longer filters cycles as pumps can help keep the hot tub hot. I would also make sure your cover is on properly to help hold the heat in. Hope this helps!

Love all your videos. I live in the chicago area otherwise i would be a customer especially when i see you doing stuff for us disabled veterans. Im trying to pick a tub between a j-385 and sundance 800 OL limited . I love how the sundance looks and the filter set up but are the jets subpar in the limited?

So there is no actual base across the entire underside? Behind the skirting is the insulation which sits on the ground or slightly off the ground and the pvc pipes rest on ground?
@atlantahottubcenter5 күн бұрын
Good afternoon, yes that's correct. However, this has worked for them for many years. I don't necessarily call it a bad thing. The pro is that you have more insulation underneath the bottom of the shell. The con is you can't level it really. This comes down to your opinion and preference. Hope this helps!

Good morning, of course. Locate the circulation pump in the hot tub. This is the smaller pump in the cabinet designed for 24hr circulation. Follow the discharge. The discharge is the part of the wet end that faces up. If you follow the discharge plumbing line you’ll run into the flow switch. The flow switch is a plastic clear molded piece with a switch the opens and closes in the middle of it. Hope this helps!

I just bought a Jacuzzi 245. We've had it 1 week. It's hooked up to its own 50 amp circuit. It won't maintain its temperature. It drops to 97 degrees. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Good morning, some addition information please. What is the set temperature and are you using it for it when temperature drops? How long are you using it for before it drops? This will help me determine what the problem is Thanks

Bizarre.Who would ask for advice when they bought it a week ago from a dealer? ASK THE DEALER YOU BOUGHT IT FROM. They should come out and fix it free of charge. Why bother this man????

Hey Brian, I was looking at the Sundance Hamilton 870, but it is on a 8-12 month special order, I can get a Jacuzzi J-375 right now. Its also $1k more than the Sundance. Would you say its a solid option going with the J-375, or would you suggest waiting for a Hamilton 870? Please let me know, and why. Retailer says they are made by same mfg. I appreciate you my man!

Good morning, Under the Investindustrial and Nottingham Spirk umbrella you have numerous brands. You have Hydropool, Jacuzzi, ThermoSpas, Dimension One, Swim Life, Sunrise, Dreammaker etc. My point here is that they’re all under the same umbrella but built very differently for different customers needs and wants. I think all the brands under the umbrella are great. You should pick the one that best suits you and your family. I always suggest a wet test. I think you would be very happy with the J-375. However, in most markets from what I see the Sundance Hamilton isn’t cheaper than the J-375. Hope this helps!

What's your take on thermospas
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
Good morning, I think Thermospas makes a reasonable product. Thermospas has a jet pump for almost every seat. That's a fair amount of electricity being drawn when in use. I think it's to much and not needed and creates expensive service calls futuristically as the motors start to fail. I also don't like the idea of a customer buying a hot tub unseen. I think it's important to not only see the brand your going to purchase but to sit in the hot tub and make sure it's comfortable as well. Remember, the hot tub doesn't get any more comfortable with water in it. I don't like the idea that they don't have an in house service team. All of thier service is contracted out. This can make it hard when you need service. Having a dealer to help you when needed is really important in my opinion. However, there are a lot of great features Thermospas does have. They use Balboa electronics which in my opinion are the best electronics. They're full foam hot tubs which is the best way to insulate. I like the idea of being able to customize your hot tub and build it to your specifications. That's pretty cool! They use a full ABS pan for added protection on most models. This is good for protection against rote. This is my opinion of the product. Hope this helps!

Good morning, most of the wires are zip tied and it’s clean but some of the zip ties have been cut for varies reasons. However, I don’t think it’s messy or something that would cause an issue. Hope this helps!

@@atlantahottubcenter I see. My reaction was because as consumers we mostly don't have much depth of knowledge, but if we see a jungle of wires, some coming from the middle of circuit boards, equipment mounted at different angles, and so on, it gives a vibe of fragility, Heath Robinson, etc.

Where is the insulation on this hot tub?? I see zero insulation
@atlantahottubcenter Жыл бұрын
Good evening, the motor compartment isn't insulated because motors and electronics need to breathe. If insulation was around the electronics and motors they would overheat. The insulation is behind the motor compartment. As a matter of fact, it's completely insulated with high dense polyurethane foam from shell to cabinet behind the compartment. Hope this helps!
