Hi Brian, I am really enjoying the information on your channel, its real helpful so far. Would you please do a review in the future on a top of the range Jacuzzi vs top of the range Sundance for a true comparison of their current line ups. As i understand it , now they have the same owners they are bringing across great features from each brand to the other, is this true and how does this top of the line models compete directly with each other? J500 series vs Sundance XXXX thanks in advance and please keep posting
@atlantahottubcenter3 жыл бұрын
Good morning. This comparison is really between the higher end series of both Jacuzzi and Sundance. This comparison is between the Jacuzzi J400 series and the Sundance 880 series. There is a Jacuzzi J500 series and a Sundance 980 series but the differences are really cosmetic for the the most part. Both brands are really great. Just depends what you’re looking for. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Brian, great vid. when you mention there are no moving parts in the jets, are you referring to 780 upwards? I am just wondering if the 680 series jets are as well designed. Also what's you opinion on the McKinley? Thanks
@kylebandy36773 жыл бұрын
My 680 (Edison) has spinning jets in one of the corner seats. It’s only about a month old, so no opinions on longevity, but that’s my two cents.
@atlantahottubcenter3 жыл бұрын
Good evening, yes, you’re correct. The Fluidix jets are only 780 series and above. The 680 series also doesn’t have horizontal filtration. I was mostly comparing the 400 series of Jacuzzi and the 880 series of Sundance. However, the 680 series still has a full base, self supporting shell, and good jetting for the price. The jets are still specially designed by Sundance and offer reasonable hydro-therapy. Hope this helps!

wonderful video. we are looking at a Jacuzzi Soul which were told by sales is made by Sundance, who is now under their umbrella (April 2024 is when I'm writing.) Is the Soul a Sundance product still but sold by Jacuzzi, and is it good value with few repairs if I take good care of it. Level deck, and all. finally, it's going to be beside my bedroom, so how loud at night if we keep it on to save on electricity. thanks so much. Great video as I said.

Good morning, so there’s numerous brands all under the umbrella but they’re all very different. The umbrella is owned by Investindustrial. Jacuzzi and Sundance are very different and not the same brand. However, they both make a quality product and I think you’ll be very happy with your purchase. Hope this helps!

Find a old Rich lady who's selling hers on the 2nd hand market. That's what I did 2005 Jacuzzi J-325 paid $500 lasted me 10 yrs before I sold it & is still in operation today. 2014 Marquis Rendezvous bought in 2019 $1,300 still own the spa. I will never buy from a dealership, if you're able to assess the hot tub in the field and see that it's in working order you can really save yourself a ton of money.

Good basic review. I think that Sundance also has NECK jets in their 880 series but Jacuzzi's J-400 series does NOT have those, correct? Also the leg jets in the CAMEO are on both sides of each leg whereas Jacuzzi is just ONE pair under each leg so that's a bit of a difference feel/touch as well
@atlantahottubcenter Жыл бұрын
Good afternoon, yes the 880 series spas have neck jets and "cradle" leg jets on both sides of your legs. There's a pretty big difference in the jetting systems since Sundance has the fluidix jetting system as well. My suggestion is to go to both dealers and feel the jets. They're very different. Hope this helps!

Want to place the spa (J375 or Cameo) partly underground (55cm) using a lift system for maintenance. Is the base of a Sundance or Jacuzzi (same mother company?) strong enough to lift the empty spa (lift platform is 80*120cm)? Thx for advise
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
Good afternoon, well Jacuzzi doesn't have a base, it's supported by PVC and foam as shown in the video. Sundance does have a base. Quiet frankly as long as the platform is level and completely flat you should be fine. The mother company's Investindustrial and Nottingham Spirk own the umbrella but there's 12 plus brands under the umbrella. These tubs are all very different. Best practice is to pick the hot tub that best fits you and your families lifestyle. However, I would not do what you're about to do. If you sink it on a lift system you won't be able to do diagnostics. You need to have access to the motor compartment. The hot tub needs to be full and running to do the diagnostics. Hope this helps!

@@atlantahottubcenter many thx for your advice. Looked at the video and Jacuzzi construction worries me for our approach. Impressed by Sundance build quality and smart developed jets. Its maybe more expensive compared to Jacuzzi but on long run it will pay off. Like your educating videos

Is there a difference between the jacuzzi j-245 & the sundance edison 680 other than the base?
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
Good morning, yes, jet pumps, electronics, filtration, lay out, shell molding, etc. are all different. If you’re choosing between the two, I would sit in both and choose the one that best fits you and your family. They’re both good hot tubs. Hope this helps!.

hey brian does the 680 series have pressure treated wood ?
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
Good morning, the 680 series uses treated lumber in conjunction with borate treated lumber for insects etc. However, the 680 series doesn’t have the additional ABS pan for protection but as long as you make water is running away from the base you won’t have a problem. Quiet frankly, you should do this with any hot tub. You really don’t want water settling around the base when it rains. Hope this helps!
@BrianF26682 жыл бұрын
thank you so much for the reply. I am probably going to go with a sundance tub.
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
@@BrianF2668 Nice! If your worried about it you can always go with a 780 or 880 as they have full plastic ABS pans but again it really doesn’t matter as long as you do it right. Thanks for watching!

i wish i could go to the 880 but above my price range
@jasonboken68352 жыл бұрын
@@BrianF2668 Then your tub will sit in water and the frame will deteriorate in time. With a Jacuzzi 300 series and up ... your tub is built up off the ground on ABS piles ... the shell is also self supporting and it has the ABS rodent proof pan.

Hey Brian, I talked with you last week or the week before in the phone and I have recently poured a 4" slab for my Sundance Chelsee and it not only came up a little short of concrete, we ended up with a slight slope about 1/4" in 10 feet. I dont think thats a big deal, but there is also a low spot of maybe 1/8th" x 18" area. Do you think I need to fill this low area with some sort of leveling concrete or just leave it? I have a couple pics I can share with you if you have an email, or I can call you for it if youd rather I do that Thanks, Stan in Superior, WI
@atlantahottubcenter2 жыл бұрын
Good evening, In my opinion, I wouldn’t be to worried about the pitch as long as the hot tub is leveled properly. However, the dip can present a problem. I would fix that. Your contractor should have some good ideas on how to fix it. Depending on how it’s poured you can possibly just pour some additional concrete on top. Hope this helps!
