As a person who has experienced DV from a narcissist, I see their dynamic as an abusive one. I understand the criticisms of him, but I think that lack of self-esteem is rooted in decades of being belittled by Jada. I hope he gets out one day and is able to find value in himself alone.

I think Jada and Will’s relationship offer important lessons that people can learn from, especially younger people who are navigating relationships with no idea how to respect their own romantic boundaries or getting therapy to heal. Will has needy attachment issues, and Jada wanted to please him and her family. Also, I think it’s hypocritical in a celebrity obsessed culture for regular people to say they’re tired of hearing about this when people are always clamoring for dirt/demanding famous people be transparent.

As a black American , I honestly will never read their books . I only wanted to see them in the light of entertainment, their jobs . My mother saw them at her job back in the early 2000s. I now feel for the kids- it makes sense why Jayden wanted to move out at 15! There were 2 theories circulating for years regarding their marriage. Why does she cry at everything? In bed with Will, talking about Tupac, her wedding day, her 40th birthday... Will DID tell her to stop filming him in the house once...and she turned to camera to say, "This is the foolishness I have to deal with". Urgh!
