Jade plants are great for propagating and take to rooting in soil very easily. I’m using a combo of cactus/succulent soil and half bonsai jack gravel for my soil mix. Light 💡: If it’s growing too long and leggy, that tells you it’s not getting enough light. She can sit right underneath a grow light or your brightest window (at least 750 foot candles if measuring with a light meter) for at least four to six hours of direct sunlight a day. When growing Outdoors, she lives a space that gets direct sunlight for 2 hours a day but shade the rest of the time. It may also turn into a beautiful green/burgundy shade when sun stressed. If you found this helpful, consider following along for more plant care and plant projects. Leave any questions down below!

As you increase the pot size over time I would highly recommend a clay pot for something like jade. It’s not 100% necessary but it’ll help it dry faster. The larger the pot size the longer it takes to dry and the higher the chance of accidentally overwatering. Looks amazing though.

Hi, I am a new plant parent and my aloe vera is really mushy but the soil is really dry. Does that mean I should water it
@moongoddess585818 күн бұрын
Unpot it and take a look at the roots. If they’re yellow and firm, they’re healthy; if they’re black and mushy they’re dead and cannot support the plant. If any of the leaves are healthy, you could try starting a new plant with them. Also, if the leaves are healthy, it’s possible that it’s not getting enough water.
