The Sisters aren't pirates or mercs though. I believe that Xeto gave order to stop firing cus the Sisterhood would never attack a father protecting his child. I would not even believe Parvos ever executed Xeto for this. Parvos also told Ordis that the baby is Jade's heir so they came only for Jade Motes for the eximus project.

So to remind people. Parvos granum is a asshole But can anyone tell me one of his most important rules? He grew up on a poor family and wanted more for his life and he cares about kids Anyone remember now nef was parvos son and remember what parvos told nef in the deadlock protocol when he said how he saw nef taking children away and forcing them to work, making them sell organs and more. He was disgusted and said nef is no child of his even if he is the father. Parvos big rule is schemes and money are all OK. But children are NOT to be involved (tenno is a acception as we are immortal and also probably older than what parvos considers a kid.) If ahe kept attacking after hearing the babies cries she would have been deemed a failure snd executed by parvos at worst, at best never be allowed into being a sister. Parvos is his own faction within the corpus. He will do alot for money. But children in his pyramid scheme are off limits.

DE have just made winner and winner with the quests and they set up so many possibilities. Not to mention since the Tenno managed to transfer into Excalibur before he was a warframe, geez. The reason he visited the tenno, was because the Operator and the Drifter can't exist in the same plane, and based on their interaction before, the Drifter couldn't use transference when he met Hunhow and the Stalker. The Operator was the only way he thought he could help her.

personally I think the warning is good, you might not feel like it's needed but that just mean it's not for you. if someone who experienced a death in the family during childbirth would be playing they'll have time to collect themselves before going through that. a good compromise would be an option to opt out off content warnings

It's an interesting problem. Research has found that warnings do not change avoidance or improve how a person feels after, for people with or without PTSD or complex trauma. There's also a theory that these create more anxiety- you could imagine being reminded about a specific traumatic experience through a warning is much more abrupt and personal than being gradually introduced to a character's experience in a narrative. On the other hand, people should have the agency to figure out if they might be impacted. Imo, I think having a 3rd party is better. An external website (whether submissions are by users or media creators) can cater to more specific concerns, and could be an accessible source of advice for media creators. It also avoids the risk of a warning causing more harm than intended, and lessens the reliance on media creators who may not successfully identify sensitive topics. Though, I'm sure there are good reasons why this might not be a better solution.

Fun fact: Stalker or "Sorren" got a new VA: Gianni Matragrano. Shitposter extraordinaire and voice of Gabriel in Ultrakill. While short i found this quest pretty emotionally powerful, especially when the Sister realized he was carrying a baby and ordered them to stand down. Despite being a Corpus, despite being a Sister of Parvos, she is a woman and as a woman there is no greater joy, no greater responsibility than being a mother. I think DE choosing a Sister to be there instead of the Grineer or Parvos or some random Corpus, was very deliberate and it was for the reason I mentioned. The value of life, especially newborn life, is unfathomable and to that Sister it was worth possibly getting executed to protect. To any weirdo anti-natalists or bitter souls who wish to refute me on that, you are worse than the fucking Corpus and just as bad as Ballas.

There is a sad and beautiful symmetry between Jade Shadows and The Sacrifice. This quest was a bold move imho. This game is so wonderfully weird. I feel that Warframe's MA-rating doesn't get mentioned enough in general conversation. They fully lean into very dark subject matter, but handle them with care. It doesn't feel gimmicky or just for shock value, you know what I mean? I have a couple theories about why it was the Operator: 1) They were an active participant in the massacre. The Drifter was in Duviri at the time. 2) Shadow Stalker tried to kill the Operator specifically in The Second Dream. 3) A more practical thought: by the time a player does The New War, they would have faced Stalker and Shadow Stalker many times. The enmity is well established. Finally, I'm rather proud of LD's journey as a Tenno. He really put the time and effort in to learn the game's systems, how to use mods, increase his mastery rank, etc. True, he was gifted a number of items, and I was happy to help expand his arsenal. However, he's also committed to earning items (like Archon mods by playing Kahl of Duty), is increasing faction ranks and has reached the Steel Path. He's definitely not just "playing it for the story", which is fine. However, this guy's one of us. He gets it. I look forward to hearing LD and Marc dish on the next podcast. Not just about Warframe. The gaming community needs as many common sense-fuelled voices as possible. More power to you, sir.

To the discussion around 2:17:19 I think the order depends on the type of game and player and is entirely subjective. To name 3 games where I usually warn people about the gameplay when recommending them but are still some of my favorite games: Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, Mass Effect 1 and Alpha Protocol. Those games (for me) live of atmosphere and story first and gameplay last. I think everyone has different reasons games work for them and they even vary from game to game. The Witcher series (especially 1 and 2) I just put on easy so I could ignore most of the combat and just focus on the story. On the other hand in Diablo or Hitman I couldn't tell you what the story is even if my life depended on it because the gameplay mechanics is what I care about there.

They made Stolen Dreams and The New Strange optional, when they are the direct lead up to Natah and The Second Dream. They might not be crazy quests on their own, narratively, but they sow the seeds that lead players to the other quests. They were the first quests, and showed us beta players where the game can go. Personally, I'd like them to be returned as Junction requirements. Additionally, many old lore-important events should be returned as activities similar to Thermia Fractures or Ghoul Purges, maybe with a new loot table designed to help new players, such as slots, Reactors, Catalysts, and so on. Add new dialogue and direction to point players where to go next as far as lore goes, such as fighting Alad V or Sargas Ruk after playing an event tied to them. As for the community of this game, I could not agree more about the points made in that video and your response to it. DE is FUCKING AMAZING when it comes to responding to players, taking feedback, and being transparent, yet THE SECOND they take some time to get back to players THE PITCHFORKS come out and these SPOILED BRATS act like DE is one of the worst teams to ever exist. Like.. the hell?! Just be glad you weren't playing during the "content drought" era where so many players and content creators were doomposting 24/7 about how dead the game was. Worse off, content creators saw a rise in views from that content and made it their whole identity. A certain beloved creator resorted to constant "warframe is dying" thumbnails/titles when in his actual videos he says that it isn't dying. The issue is that all people need to see is the thumbnail to get the wrong idea. The game ACTUALLY started to die from this negativity.. thankfully we got past it, but man was it awful. Most of the time, the Warframe community is great.. it's a shame that it collapses on itself from time to time.

1:26:23 Nightwave is still great, but they used to have a cinematic story, new enemies, boss encounters, and new gear themed around it. (You can watch them form the Nightwave menu.) Really made the game feel fresh. In no way were they failed, but since Nightwave has an expectation of always being active, making a new seasonal story and enemies took priority away from making other content. They decided to pause on making new Nightwave seasons. I'm hoping some of those storylines will see a continuation in future quests and content, especially The Emissary.. I could see that storyline matching up with a future Deimos plot and Infested liches. I'm a closed beta player sitting at 5200 hours, and I don't think I'll ever quit this game.. and that's because I take plenty of small breaks from Warframe. People have this strange idea that they have to play one game and play it 24/7, and then they get upset and burnt out.. like shit, there are so many other games you can play in the meanwhile.

As for VR, personally I think the room space and price are expected, to a degree. Really we are just lacking good games. Beat Saber, VR chat, and a few games you play once in a blue moon are not enough.. We need a competent MMO that isn't pay2win slop or a wannabe Sword Art Online. We need real immersive coop experiences, like.. imagine a VR shooter looter like Borderlands, or a VR survival game as rich in content as ARK/Palworld. We need VR games with substance; not fancy tech demos, set pieces, chat rooms, or party games. I do think VR has huge potential, but we need someone to put in EFFORT. No Man's Sky is amazing in VR. I lost my save, but I've been meaning to start it up again. So much content has been added since I last played, and I barely scratched what was there when I was playing.

I don't own Balatro because I am entirely uninterested in those type of games, but I do recognize how great of a game it is. I exclusively play games with some sort of multiplayer element, usually looter shooters, survival games, or MMOs. Sometimes competitive shooters and MOBAs catch my attention. That said, I think single player and indie 'weird' games are great for those who enjoy them, and the scene for indie games has been exploding exponentially for years now.. especially with the silly horror stuff like Phasmo, Among Us, Lethal Company, and Content Warning. The latter two of these games are so simple, yet give normal gamers a way to be creative and have fun in their own ways. I don't play them, but watching clips and stuff is always hilarious, due to how perfectly the games set up the players to be funny themselves. AAA games care more about being "impressive", or pleasing stock holders/pushing narratives, rather than just making a good game. Indie games need their games to be good to SURVIVE. To put food on the table. They can't afford to dick around; they have to game a damn good game. This is why I find manga, and to a lesser extent, anime, to be so much more enthralling than western media. Western media is paid for upfront and the season is made, front to back, up to the standards of the director or whoever's leash they are on. A weekly serialized manga does not have that luxury, and has to strive to be better every single week. It's this format that churns out the best content. Humans do the best work when they're cornered.
@flackenstien4 ай бұрын
For me, the order of things I care about will change depending on the type of game, but gameplay is always first. That said, if I see that the developers are being "inclusive" for the sake of it rather than creating a naturally crafted world, characters, and story, then it will be offputting regardless of how good the gameplay is. DEI in studios will naturally lead to a worse product, since they don't care about having the best game developers. They just want their game to be developed by certain peoples, to appeal to people that don't even buy their games. I don't care what the race, sex, orientation, or beliefs a game developer are. Why should any of that matter? All I care about is how good they are at making games, and with what respect they treat their players. The issue with SBI is that they are a sign that the rest of the game will be bad. They didn't make the game bad, but a true good game wouldn't get them involved. Real developers have a vision for their game. honestly, their involvement is almost welcome as it's a warning sign to avoid the game. Look at High Guardian Spice, for example. It was an animated series made by an in-house studio for Crunchyroll. It was going to be a bad show either way, but if they didn't spend so much time declaring how "inclusive" their all-woman misandrist writing crew was, and spent more time worrying about getting a good product out, then it could have been better or atleast received with less backlash. There is more to an impression than objectivity, even for the most impartial of people.

2:41:58 I think that Mastery Ranks need a bit of a modernization. I don't think they need a massive overhaul, but some of them could be updated for the modern game and include more relevant tests and information. Additionally, I'd like to see some one time MR milestone rewards targeted towards new players, such as Warframe and Weapon Slots, maybe a free pre-built Starter frame from the choices you didn't pick + Loki to replace the one you chose at like MR 5, ect. Right now a new player doesn't have a real tangible reward for MR tests besides unlocking more weapons, many of which are older less used weapons. Obviously, it is still good to unlock these, but new players don't have the context that a vet does. They can't make use of all the loadout slots just yet, don't know what Reactant is for, and don't know about Rivens which require the highest MR out of most content.

@@vivekkparashar Of course, his chat is not that bad if I compare it to a lot of other streamers, which I'm not. It's bad enough for Warframe community standards.

xeto flipping so quickly was a little jarring for me, she brought a whole army to "rip it from his dead hands" ready to destroy anything in her way but as soon as she sees its a baby she just changes her mind. like i understand if she doesnt want the baby to die but she doesnt even try to take it from him? after all that effort? nah man idk

She assumed it was just Warframe tech, an object she could bring to Parvos to impress him. She wasn't expecting a baby, and in turn, wasn't ready to sacrifice her morals to kill said baby, even if it meant sacrificing her chance at becoming a Sister. The Corpus aren't some evil group, they're mostly average people working for a salary. I think it shows a lot of character for her to simply step aside, and gives the Corpus the humanity they so desperately need after all these years.

I hate those trigger warnings. They spoil the story too much.
@hunmg37694 ай бұрын
I don't think trigger warnings are effective at all. I mean sure let's make sure we don't trigger people's traumas by talking about how there are these specific traumatic things in it and reminding them of their own by doing so.
@arturloes2054 ай бұрын
There’s a huge difference between reading a sentence that only mentions the general topic of your trauma and having the whole experience of it in a videogame that is made to have emotional conection and impact People who have trauma should be allowed to decide wether they want to experience the quest or not

01:42:01 It's a false problem. The game is really too difficult from the beginning. Sure, you can get different things to help you get through it easier, BUT don't you think it's completely absurd to grind few months to collect items, to upgrade SO YOU CAN actually start playing the game?? You have to grind countless hours, with no context, no motivation, no reason, to be able TO START a game AND you don't know if will like it, because you didn't start playing yet. It's like being hungry, someone propose you a dish, but you have to travel in 4 different parts of the Earth to gather ingredients for a few weeks, cook it then take a bite and it might be the worst dish you ever tried. Who will want that?? Edit: btw, if you played the game, you know mechanics, lore, etc, you don't have an opinion. It's not "maybe" , no! You know for sure if that game is in one way or another. It's a fact, not an option. An opinion is when you don't have context, no knowledge of any kind and say something based on a trailer, few reviews, etc. If you played, what you say about it it's a fact, at least for you and any other players as same as you, same category, to be exact. You have arguments to back up your classification. It's not "maybe", it's "for sure".

About Elden ring and the difficulty problems. I'm not a souls player. I hate this genre. But i decide to try elden ring. And it dont give me... pleasure. I feel like a cheater bc almost every fight i have to cheese to oblivion. But i dont really have problem with agresive enemies, fucking pool of toxin, monster spawning on me or even fact that all bigger enemies are so fast that running away from them could be imposible even with horse. I dont have problem with that. I have problem with design. UI is awful. It is such shit... I more time died bc i fought againts UI than from enemies. And the best part of it... its the same UI. It is always the same UI. THEY ALWAYS DO THE SAME GAME. Elden ring have more open space, horse and few different enhancment. But it is the same game as dark souls 0-3. And this is... a console game. Game for a pad. As pc master race i spit on pads. But they never make any conversion to a pc. And even without this... even on pad... this UI is still awfull and archaic. And i have proof for that. Where is game glossary? Tips or instruction how to play? THOSE ARE ITEMS IN YOUR INVENTORY. WHO DESIGN THAT? Also... if horse is so important part of the game... WHY THERE IS NOT KEY FOR SUMMONIG HIM? Why i have to put him into FN ESTUST FLASKS SLOT? Problem with DEI is that it dont touch only writing. Who made shit game? Talentless developers... or... their were forced to do it that way by higher ups. In both situation there is big chance that those people get their position thanks to DEI quota about hiring. But we also have game that were absolute shit BC of writing. Forspoken. MC is annoying to level that even streamers gave up. It wasnt really problem with gameplay. Shooting from fingers can be ok.

Sounds like you suck at Elden Ring. Of course a Souls game isnt going to tell you how to play the game, because the whole experience of the game is LEARNING those systems at your own pace. I know you are just salty about sucking because your complaint is the UI. I mean, would you prefer a UI that's bloated and full of crap you don't need, like a Ubisoft game? If you don't like the game it's fine, but trying to find reasons to convince people who don't suck to dislike the game like you is asinine.
