Lost for words, God just literally answered my prayers. I have been crying out to God asking him to help me be more gentle with my children. I felt like I was losing my mind. I have 4 children and they all have different personalities and I often find myself very overwhelmed. I’d yell at them, get frustrated, and sometimes lock myself in my prayer closet. Thank you for sharing this video. I didn’t grow up in a household to consisted of gentle parenting so I see myself reflecting the same things I went through as a child. Thank you Lord for putting this video in front of me. I want to be a better mother.

Bonding/nurturing is something that comes natural to me and it is something I took pride in. I have been criticized over it, been told I an "too soft" or I "give too much" to my kids. I got told so much that I changed and it has made me and my kids unhappy 😔 thank you for bringing me back Jady ♥ I appreciate this video VERY MUCH!!

The last thing you said was so touching. If we can do one thing to change the world, it is to love our children- the next generation. Love this mentality ❤

I work in youth care at a treatment facility for kids ages 12-18. The lack of a bond, boundaries, consistency, clear reasonable expectations and consequences causes so many behavioral issues.

Yes!!! I try to be intentional, but yes there are times were I’m not having a good day and I can totally tell the difference. I’m pregnant with our 3 rd baby and just feel so tired some times. Thank you so much for the encouragement 🥰🥰🥰

We make up stories together. We play together. We read and sing together. My boys help me with day to day things. We also snuggle and I talk to them, sit with them and nurse my 1 year old to sleep.

I love your honesty, done in love. You speak with such grace and kindness. This is literally the Lord’s perfect timing for me to hear this, by listening with a willing heart and acknowledging that I first need changing in order to also see the changes in my children. When you come from utter brokenness, these “seemingly simple concepts” of closeness and connection aren’t so easy to grasps. So a million thank you!! I used this advice and tips today and had an incredible day with my children. May the Lord bless you abundantly!! 💜

This video so helpful. I have 2 toddlers and I struggle with some of these things bc I never received it as a child. I know my parents did their best. But I would like to be more intentional and aware of what I’m doing. Thank you!

Btw we bond with each other by coloring books doing activities and baking cookies or muffins. Making dinner or breakfast. Watching kids movie. Taking them to the field trips, reading and singing along. Having dance party. I pretend that I am a monster and chasing them 😮😅 Cuddling and holding them.

I am so guilty of speaking impatiently and unkindly. It's the worst habit. And i see how it affects my kids. Especially in home school and they can't remember how to do something, saying "you should know this" and other dumb things that dont help.. reallt its my own anxiety and feeling of inadequacy and frustration that i am dumping on them in those moments. I really want to repent of that. Poor babies deserve better ❤

Jady thank you so much for this wonderful video! I really enjoy watching your videos. I didn’t get a good bond with my mom when I was a kid and when I had my kids it was hard for me in the beginning to bond with my first child. But I love reading to my kids and singing songs. So I have been reading to my kids and singing since they were newborns. But eye contact and touching I didn’t know about that and I am still learning, reading and watching videos of moms like you. And my goal is to have a very good relationship with my kids. Could you make a video about to make your kids play with each other or how to share their toys with each other 😊? I have two girls and they don’t get along with each other always end up fighting. They are 4 and 2 years old.

I never bonded with my parents. Know my dad wants to bond with me know that I am an adult and I really don’t care to even be around them. They didn’t care for me as a kid and know I really don’t care if they die alone. I am still healing of all the damage my dad did to us and my mom well she was in the house but she never was, she never connected whit me so I never even knew my mom and I lived with her, I only know that she will get sad wen dad left her or the next man left her she was more a woman than a mom and dad was abusive specially with words and actions. I hate my dad! And I don’t understand my mom. I am still trying so hard to heal from all the trama and I just can’t figure out how to heal some areas. They never even taught me anything 😢 I feel so hurt and I don’t want to do the same to my kids I am trying soo hard 😭😪 I feel all the wait on me.

This is good, but what most parents don't want is for their child to be around them 24/7. There are many parents that, I suppose, love their children, but still want time (a lot of time) away from their children.

I have that same issue and I realize that is me not finding peace and relaxation in just being present with my kids. My mind is always racing thinking about the next thing I need to do, which makes me feel like I need more of my own time. Dr. Gabe Mate really opened my eyes to striving to find peace just being with my kids. Good luck on your parenting journey

Our 32 month old has been waking up between 2-4am daily. We have a good routine, but she wants to start her day at that time. She sleeps in a crib in the bedroom with my husband, son and I. She will start jumping and singing very loud. I have tried everything and don't know what to do. Any advice? I'm a SAHM and my husband works full time. I have gotten to a point where I have to take her to the living room so my husband can get sleep so he can work. Would love some advice, thanks. Also this just started about 6 weeks ago, nothing has change in our home and she is also speech delayed.

Hi Jady. I just want to thank you for your videos. I use your parenting strategies with my kids on the spectrum. But one thing I wanted to let you know was to be careful of Dr Becky Bailey. She is a New Ager, and bases her teachings on New Age, and from a book called a Course of Miracles. So just be careful with her teachings.
