Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia on a camping and 4WD odyssey. In this video we cross the border into the Northern Territory and visit the remote 4WD tracks of Limmen National Park, the Gregory River, and the abandoned uranium mine at Mary Kathleen.
If Northern Australia 4WD and off-road tracks, remote camping, and hiking are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, if you like camping from your 4x4 then this is the place to be.

Terry this is hilarious - the other week your CV boot replacement video was relvant to me and guess what? This week I'm travelling the Northern territory and passed through Mary Kathleen for an extra long camp before arriving at my destination, Tennant Creek. I can't believe the colours of this place hey! Loved the walk around the pool - Very beautiful and ominuous colours! Hopefully see you out there - Always love a well fitted out 2hungee :)

That chip in your windscreen is holding up well! Did you fill it with silicon? Great episode thanks - and yes, most people don't go that (often minimal) extra distance to find the best spots but that leaves them for those of us who do. I really appreciate your adventurous spirit and can-do attitude.

Thanks for the kind words mate, I sincerely appreciate it. I “fixed” it with one of those Supercheap windscreen fixer upper kits. It’s gone ok, but Jill kept bugging me to get it replaced so I did. We have a Tassie series coming out soon with the old windscreen but our Flinders trip after that is a new windscreen. Cheers😎👍

Once again a wonderfull video terry and Jill. My wife and i were fortunate to do pretty much the same trip as this one with the exception of the Gregory river. We were however able to go to Lorella springs for four or five days which was fantastic. It’s a shame it’s no longer accessible. It’s interesting to hear your take on Daly waters and i agree 100%. We have come to the conclusion in our travels that if you find someware that you really like dont ever go back for a 2nd time because ultimately it will disappoint. Thats progress i guess. Safe travels. Steve & Ann

Really enjoy your videos guys. Your jive sounds like our jive. THe fewer people the better. We also found Daly Waters to be very, umm, curated and "family friendly" for our liking. To each their own, but just as we got there, so did a huge tour bus. No thanks. I've noticed a few of your videos, at some points, the frame rate drops quite noticeably when viewing in a browser. I don't notice it quite as much in the android app. No big deal, just wanted to mention it i case you werent aware. Safe travels and thanks for sharing your trip with us!

I certainly agree with the finding quiet places to camp idea. I can't stand camping with all the sheeple who follow each other around in herds.

Good to know, and I’m glad a hard working family, Australian or otherwise has found success. I certainly won’t be going back because of the corporate feel, but it’s supremely packed with others so they do not need my business anyway.👍

Lorella is one of those places that should be opened. But I'm guessing that the land is mineral rich so the government wants it back. Just like national parks, close them to public, but let mining companies destroy the land..

Yes the loss of Lorrella Springs to public access is terrible, but just one of many over the last few years and many to come if we continue the path that seems to have taken the agenda in the big cities. It was one of the last few destinations with great access, wildlife, nature and that you could camp and access without being all Bollarded Off and not spoilt by development and unreasonable restrictions. At Lorella, 4wheel drive tracks were 4wd tracks (not tracks restricted to 4wds but that any 2wd could easily traverse), and not kept closed because there were still places people occasionally might get bogged, ah if only people could take some self responsibility and assess risks and make decisions for themselves, rather than expecting others to do that for them. But the Bureaucracy, and modern day nanny state risks of Insurance, managing Indigenous consultation and needs won out against everyday Australians and our kids future right to be able to camp, see and experience our wonderful country.
