You should have kept the cargo net and just sewed some flat strap around the perimeter and across the middle?
@JafffaAdventures Жыл бұрын
That would work assuming I know how to sew or know someone who does. I like my solution better 😝😎
@quincybirwood26297 ай бұрын
Exactly. Or roll it up and store it. It could come in handy later. It's not like the old net takes up a lot of space.

Hi Terry. I am a first time watcher of your channel from WA and have really enjoyed your projects. Especially enjoyed your bonnet scoop project and will keep watching for extra ideas for my own 200 series. Cheers

Good stuff Alan, welcome and thanks for taking the time to comment, I sincerely appreciate it. I have heaps more 200 stuff coming up this year, and I am also in the process of restoring a 74 FJ45, restomod style. I trust you will find more enjoyable and useful content during your stay. Thanks again Alan.😎👍

Good looking solution to a problem I've been working around - a minor point, all the the 200 series items they sell are coded "J200", its not specific to this net

Cool, that’s very good information to share with the wider community, thank you. I provided the measurements in the video, that should narrow it down. Thanks for watching. Cheers😎👍

Hey Terry, thanks for the video again and Merry Xmas. It would be great to make a video on your water system. I have a 100 series and getting so many inspirations from your rig. Cheers bud👍

Thanks for your feedback, very useful. I have definite plans to make a water management video. I will try and get it out in January. Cheers 😎👍

Any idea how many pounds these can hold without breaking? And by this I mean for just holding it down from above as 1 weight in other words to hold things still to not slip around. And the separate weight of holding stuff up from below like a ceiling net shelf above it as a separate weight. Thanks.
@JafffaAdventures Жыл бұрын
I don’t know mate, but they are bloody strong. If I could fit, I have no doubt in my mind that it could support my weight, and I come in at a hefty 100kg. Cheers👍😎

Hi Terry, guess that was the first and last piece they sold into OZ for that price. Yep, I still work on that project too but should not cost mor then 20.- AUD for a proper net. Will let you know when I find it. Cheers and Merry X mas

In response to your idea that one of the kits was crap and 1 wasn't... To be sure in theory someone could get like extra cordage and weave it around into the netting to reinforce it themselves. That way they could be more sure of it being able to take extra weight. Feel free to reply to me also with stuff you are figuring out and I'll try to help back or offer input in thinking about solutions.
@JafffaAdventures Жыл бұрын
Yes, that would have solved the sag issue from the cord, but the net material was weak as well. I’m very happy with the replacement. Cheers👍😎
