Interesting video, we spent four days in Jaffna. I found the city very interesting and people very friendly. My doctor here in Canada was from Jaffna and has only just returned after many years away . Very educational video.

my most memorable and loveliest holiday was in Jaffna in 1967. i think Sri Lanka urgently needs to adopt the Swiss System of government. it will have lasting peace and prosperity. Have 2/3 majority referendum NOW

great video. it is important that all people feel valued and what they do is valued-what ever their race,religion or economic state in life. leaving people to decide their own fate can and ,experience shows,will be controlled by the unscrupulous few. It is important therefore that Sri Lanka has a system like Switzerland where individuals are allowed to prosper in a free environment but not allowed to bully others because of their station in life.

I agree with most of the comments. Had not the Rock Heads put the idea of an Elaam which started with the Federalist , for this tiny Island Nation. Not only Everyone's "favourite" Jaffna , but the whole of the North and East could not have been in this Mess . Don't forget the Tamils in the Hill country who dos a yormen service to the Nation . They Deserve a much better deal for a much better Living Conditions ( with all that they stood by their brothers the Muslims, the Christians, and the Budhist as One to save this Land ) . At least Now the people of all sides should leave the young kids some of them young Adults who has not ( most of them never) seen a Peaceful Sri Lanka till NOW after nearly 30yrs to take This Country forward AS ONE. The tamil founding father of Singapore didn't ask that he need separate states for Tamils. Why tamils in Sri Lanka couldn't do the same. Sri Lankan Gov librate tamils in Jaffna from terror, so many Sinhalese soldiers & civilians sacrifices their life for librate tamils but you didn’t even say one thing to appreciate it. You even mange to visit Jaffna again to do this video thanks to their sacrifice. Well I'm Sinhalese and I think we should rebuild Jaffna and invite everyone who left Sri Lanka . I do not support LTTE or any government since the independence in 1948. Further more LTTE is as bad as the government and both Sinhalese and Tamils should understand that . Both sides killed innocent civilians and it's all in the past now. Just think about it , who profited while regular Tamils and Sinhalese fought ?
