I have traveled to Georgia and successfully hunted with Rod. Not only does each new segment demonstrate improved strategies and refined equipment but now he and his crew are almost always 100% in getting the entire sounder. Wish we could turn him loose to use his own tactics at eradicating terrorists...quite a deadly soldier and problem animal control officer.

I wish there were more Rods. It's one thing to come up with a great idea (M.I.N.E. trapping system), it's another thing to put it into practice and prove its success time and time again.

Wow.....my job is the warehouse directly across from that same pond. The same hogs would come up to the warehouse and destroy the grounds on the property. You guys helped us also. Great job guys!

Hey dear ones. Greetings from Germany. I like all the vids about hog hunting and trapping. Hogs are doing so much damage. You are doing a great job. Keep on. Dems should not speak nonsense rather they should fund Your work. By Your side. War on hogs is more important than war on any country outside the U.S. Good luck, good ideas and God bless You greatly.

Seriously tho. your Company made one heck of a Hog Trapping system. It seems fool proof.

Why hogs disrupt grass from backyards if there is no food available there?
@MultiPureEnergy5 жыл бұрын
There is food under the grass, all kinds of insects like worms, grubs and beetles just to name a few.

I often wonder if there is a "perfect" method to trap and dispatch feral hogs, once and for all. I have watched many of these hog control videos and while it's possible to eliminate a local sounder given sufficient time and technology, they are so widespread that total elimination is likely impossible.

While we strive to eradicate every feral pig in North America, we understand that at this point in time we are ultimately performing damage management. All landowners must be on the same page, if not, they will likely harbor the feral pigs and the surrounding landowners will never solve the problem.

Could you tell us what is done with the hogs after they are eliminated? What do you do with the meat?
@JAGERPRO6 жыл бұрын
Pigs are killed inside the trap enclosure because it is illegal in most states to transport feral swine alive. The US Department of Agriculture does not allow wild pork donations directly to food banks due to swine brucellosis and the pseudorabies virus. However, this does not mean wild pork cannot be eaten. It is fantastic table fare, but very important to thoroughly cook wild pork to 165 degrees. Most feral pigs harvested by JAGER PRO™ personnel are either processed by guests or donated (on the hoof) to local families and churches for food.

I wonder if Jaeger is considering Franchise system? To be a franchise holder you have to train with them. You would then invest in equipment. You would follow their recommendations. I think that they'd make some nice money.
@JAGERPRO5 жыл бұрын
Not a franchise system, but rather a Hog Control Academy™ to create a national standard for training and certifying Hog Control Operators™ in the United States. Courses will be approved by the National Wildlife Control Operators Association and will be launched in 2020 after winning our first patent infringement lawsuits.

what do you do with the carcasses?

Pigs are killed inside the trap enclosure because it is illegal in most states to transport feral swine alive or sell the meat. The US Department of Agriculture does not allow wild pork donations directly to food banks due to swine brucellosis and the pseudorabies virus. Feral swine can be eaten, but it is very important to thoroughly cook wild pork to 165 degrees. Most feral pigs harvested by JAGER PRO™ Hog Control Operators™ are either processed by guests or donated to local families and churches for food. However, there is another perspective to consider. Mission success is based solely on removing the entire sounder from each property since whole-sounder lethal control prevents any pig from escaping, surviving, reproducing or being educated to the removal process. Whether a non-native, agricultural pest is eaten or not has no value in the "damage management" decision-making process. Just as removing all termites, rats and cockroaches from your home to stop future residential damage is more important than ensuring all captured pests are eaten. Insect versus mammal makes no difference to the legal definition of a pest or the Best Management Practices needed to control them. The total number of wild pigs we successfully donate has no bearing on the number of animals we must euthanize. The United States cannot BBQ our way out of the feral swine problem. Any carcasses NOT used for food are buried per Department of Agriculture regulations.

Nice job! I had a question for you all! What time of the year is the best to signup for your thermal night hunting? me and my dad were wanting to do is this spring or summer.
@JAGERPRO10 жыл бұрын
tbone martinez We only conduct thermal shooting operations during the best 100 nights of the year. These dates are available on our calendar at www.jagerpro.com/book-hunt.aspx which are planned around corn & peanut pre-planting and planting seasons and also the fall peanut harvest. We do not schedule hunts during the summer as corn is eight feet tall and we cannot give our guest hunters a high-volume shooting experience.

Most urban and city residents have never met a Hog Control Operator™ capable of removing the entire sounder at one time. We ensure their first encounter with a trained professional is a very positive experience. We also explain feral pig sounders must be euthanized for the same reason termite swarms and rat colonies are killed. Insect versus mammal makes no difference to the legal definition of a pest or the Best Management Practices needed to control them.
