1:54 Not only can the pneck heal you during the claw spec, it negates any pending damage when it activates. You can see how the second claw spec only hits once because of that. This pretty much makes the pneck a solid counter to dclaws for just 2k gp.

jagex just added HDOS to the official jagex launcher its pretty much the same graphics as 2008-2009 claws look identical on that client as they used to back in the day as well which is pretty dope

yeah. honestly. RIGHT BEFORE EOC was my favorite time in RS. Graphics were great. Game was heading in a decent direction and no bad updates besides the free trade crap. But since i play an iron now. I think free trade is dumb and is what allows RWT to happen.

I used to flip back in the Rs2 days and my entire bank was around 40Mil. I remember putting in max GE offers in every morning before school hoping I would get the claws. I eventually got them at like 38M and then they crashed down to 25M and I was so panicked. Good times. I love the claws!

Another thing that was popular with claws but gained more attention with korasi sword was the Energy transfer lunar spell. Ideally you got a load of friends with the spell that could follow you into the wild and spam dump their energy on you so you'd rush people with just special attacks.

You should make a video about Dragon Claws on the day of release in rs2. I don't know how many people know this but they got nerfed hard, back then I had a ton of GP and paid 500m on day of release for a pair, went to a pvp world in varrock wearing NOTHING but the claws, potted up and speced out a guy in full dharocks. (again, I had literally no other items equiped) I'm not sure how long it was before the nerf, but if you could find any info on it, would be interesting and maybe you could make a video grouping that in with how insane the blowpipe was in PVP on it's day of release before they make it a tick slower against players. Edit: Before someone asks me how I paid 500M on DOR when the trade limit was still a thing, back then there was "junk trading". Look it up if you don't remember.

@@tvdvd8661 I've never seen anybody use claws in rs3. Jagex added chaotic spikes to turn dragon claws into chaotic claws, but even that didn't help. There are so many better weapons in rs3, especially at tier 60. And even if you only wanted to use it for the spec, it takes up 2 inventory slots instead of 1, making it not very worth it as a spec item.

I used to stake maxed pures lvl 98 at the duel arena via “clawing”. I was the same lvl except with 85 attack / def and like 65 str. I would instead pull out DFS + SOL spec and watch their claw specs hit 0s and 1s whilst I slowly kill them 😂

You know whats crazy, oldschool is legit rs3 but more barney style. They copy and pasted nearly every aspect of it. Tormented demons are the same as demonic gorillas with the z-shard drop, instead of claws. Chaotic Maul and Rapier is just the grazy Rapier and elder maul. The gauntlet is a half-backed farce of Dungeneering. It just keeps going too. Now they added the "korsie sword" too.

When the wilderness was brought back in RS2 I made about 2 bill within the first month, mainly just claw rushing on a perfect turmoil Zerker account on unsuspecting mains. Rushers used to hide under those seeds you could turn into a plant. I was that guy. The anti-rush meta with Korasi started becoming a thing around then too. Combo eating certainly was a thing back then. Also, claws when they originally released had a guaranteed hit, later they nerfed them by introducting the dreaded 0-1 hit which was fairly common.

As someone who played back then I can assure you the old claws were a force to be reckoned with. The biggest reason they were bullshit was because the low price meant people would just hang out near the wildy entrance, hop the pit and spec you as soon as you won a fight meaning they would get both the loot from whoever you just killed and whatever loot you were carrying all while risking absolutely nothing. This was called “PJing” and it was extremely common. It pretty much ruined a lot of edgeville pvp back then. It got so bad that a popular money maker was simply going to a pking world, sit at the side, wait for someone to PJ, then come in and pick up whatever scraps they left behind. You could make a surprising amount of gold on a fresh account with no skill investments simply doing this until the scavenger bots took over and started collecting everything immediately.

I remember fighting dragon claws a lot back then and they were absolutely busted. Much more so than AGS. I used to do 1 on 1 normal duels back then (Classic "funning" no food and pots with no overhead prayers when that was a more common thing) and they would shread through my armour much more often than AGS.

IMO the bigger reason why dclaws aren't as 'OP' as they used to be is because ranged powercrept the living shit out of KO combos with dragon knive/thrownaxes/ballista combos. In comparison the dclaws are simply too slow and don't have the kind of stack damage those kind of combos do.

Dclaws used to be more accurate than AGS and had minimum dmg of 1 no matter what. It's current dclaws that's less accurate than ags. AGS was expensive in large part because it was cool. People did not know about phoenix necklace or tick eating back then. Many players were using godsword unironically as a main weapon, so they sure as hell weren't used those strats back then.
