A rare recording of Jagjit Singh ji, performed live in a private mehfil. I am hearing this unique ghazal for the first time ! Seems to be a very early days recording of his singing career ! Thanks to V.Parekh for sharing this gem and to you, Suman ji, for uploading it ! The lyrics of this ghazal are heart rending, touch the inner core .....Kisi ki yaad aati hai to main kuchh gungunaata huu.n ...Na aa jaaye.n kahee.n aa.nsu , isi se muskuraata huu.n ... Wo hain jo jeet kar haare , main huun jo haar kar jeeta ! J.S lived every emotion that he sang and that is why he could connect with the audience, wherever he performed live. Here also he beautifully emoted and soulfully expressed the deep feelings reflected in the lyrics of this ghazal ! Sung in such a tender and mellow tone, so soothing to the ears ! And these last couplets are very touching ....Mujhe hai naaz apne pyaar par, apni jawaani par .... Mera bhi hai koyi, main bhi kişi ko yaad aata huu.n ! Unparalleled piece of poetry and rendition ! A gamut of emotions welled up listening to this beautiful ghazal in the velvety voice of Jagjit ji ! My heart felt appreciation and gratitude for sharing and giving me the pleasure of listening to this unique ghazal ! Best wishes ! 👍💐🙏
